The emotionally charged new track “God Only Knows” connects with the listener in more ways than one. It is a beautiful song with a much deeper message. It balances words of hope and peace in the storm of doubt and pain with an underlying message of mental health awareness. As you might have heard California has been struck by a series of destructive fires that have torn through towns with such force that people are left feeling broken. It’s terrible and unfortunately someone we have talked quite a bit about here on IVM, has lost his home and belongings as a result of these fires. Jeff Schneeweis, his wife, and 3 daughters made it out safely but their home, belongings including Jeff’s recording equipment and instruments, did not. Jeff was a founding member of the band Number One Gun, went on to produce a bunch of great band albums over the years and more recently began recording “solo” under the project name “Lael”.… Continued →
