I am proud to announce the next IVM release which will be a follow up EP from Mainframe titled “Burn The Boats”. This 6 track ep will feature some of that same feel from the Debut last summer and continue on the trend started with the recent “Undivided Devotion” but taken to a whole new level. The ep will feature a special punk rock “cover” song along with a bunch of other great originals. Read a little blurb from NoahMainframe, below. Release date has yet to be determined.… Continued →

Experimental metal band Kekal have just released a new song for free download here
Announcement of the track came via the band’s website:

Today's Thoughts on Marketing and Social Media by Brandon Jones
Good morning everyone and Happy New Year! Just thought i’d post a little blurb about an alarming “trend” I have seen in recent months. A few artists/bands have hooked up with some marketing firms, more like infomercial style marketing if you are looking for a definition. Anyway, I have been blasted with these ads for whatever reason on Facebook due to my young teenage demographic that I so lovingly belong to. I’m almost 40 going on almost 20, am I right? I have nothing against promoting art/music/products on social media and the web in general, I’ve done it myself for IVM and friends/labels do it for their bands all the time.… Continued →

Pyramid Park - Fall On Me (Audio)
I’ve mentioned the artist known as Pyramid Park late last year and I just wanted to share one of his songs off the most recent full length “Vulnerability”. This worship centered UK based indie artist would fall somewhere between Bastille, Foster The People, We Shot the Moon, Two Door Cinema Club, and even a tad bit of Delirious. Pyramid Park’s refreshing take on faith based indie-alt-rock falls right up there with today’s hottest bands while establishing a road all their own. If you dig great music period then please give Pyramid Park a listen today.… Continued →

Hotel Books Side Project "Camp Hope" Debuts First Single
Cam Smith of Hotel Books fame has announced a new side project, Camp Hope. Musically, Camp Hope deviates from the emo/post-rock atmosphere of Hotel Books, opting for a poppy rap-rock approach comparable to early Linkin Park. Check out the debut single, Ready to Fall, below. Squad 5-0 Begin Working on New Comeback Album, Say What?
With all these new reunions fresh in our minds and the rivers of nostalgia running deep, it was only time before the mighty Squad 5-0 came back and dropped a new album on us. According to the band’s official Instagram page (sorry I’m not aware of any Facebook pages that are current), they may be working on a new album and teased with like 1 second guitar clip. Whether or not this is true remains a mystery much like the band themselves. Let’s hope for one more rockin’ ruckus of a new album.… Continued →
The Prayer Chain Announce Vinyl Release of "Shawl" and Live Show
Beloved Southern California 90’s alt-rock band, The Prayer Chain, have just announced a new campaign to fund the vinyl pressing of their much loved debut full length “Shawl”. The band crossed all barriers and industry confines to write songs that conveyed emotions which the general “Christian” market just wasn’t prepared to deal with at the time. Their music transcends all labels and tags that may be associated with the band to truly be recognized as the powerhouse rock act that they were. This and “Mercury” were the band at their finest.… Continued →

Best of 2017: Rob Jensen
2017 was a pretty decent year for music! Between finding newer bands, the resurgence of others from years of inaction, and great albums from bands we’ve come to love and depend on for great music, it was pretty tough to be disappointed. Below, are the 20 albums that I consider to be the year’s best. If there are bands there you haven’t heard of, I hope you check them out, you never know…maybe one of them would’ve made your top spot. And please, drop a line in the comments and let me know your thoughts!… Continued →

Introducing: Chris DuPont
About Chris DuPont
Chris DuPont is a singer-songwriter from Ann Arbor, MI. who mixes stylistic elements of indie, folk, and ambient. His approach to songwriting is down-to-earth and honest, paired with subdued instrumentation. Vibrant strings accentuate the emotional experience, resulting in songs that certainly have a lot of radio potential but which manage to maintain artistic expression nonetheless. Fans of Motherfolk and Ed Sheeran will find much to enjoy. Check out his 2015 album, “Outlier”, below.

Minneapolis-based indie act Author has announced their first new album in just about three years. “Is It Far // Or Is It Close” is due 1/1, but the band has set up pre-orders and has three tracks up for preview. “IIFOIIC” sees Author dabble with the ambient, post-rock leanings found on their debut, “Of Brighter Days”, this time incorporating some electronic elements as well. Then head over to this link here and preorder the new ep (1st in a 4 ep series due in 2018).… Continued →
