So this video was released back in January of this year along with their new album “The North Star” and I must say that it is a heavy hitter. I can’t believe I overlooked this release and didn’t give it proper promotion right here on IVM. Remedy Drive have created music that is deep and rich in content, overflowing with complex symbolism and a certain sense of urgency. Altar Boys have officially dropped their first new album in 25 years titled “No Substitute”. This new album is actually a collection of songs written after “Forever Mercy” and before they went on hiatus. The bare bones tracks have been re-recorded and freshened up for the world to hear. The songs run the style divide between their hit albums “Gut Level Music”, “Against The Grain”, and “Forever Mercy” while mixing in modern elements and a much fuller sound. An amazing album titled “Mindsize” from Washington state based alternative rock band – Poor Old Lu, is getting pressed again on Vinyl and available in several different options/colors. Also on CD. The remastered deluxe edition will be available next year and you can pre-order via kickstarter right here. Lo-Fidelity Records is putting this out. This is the band that the Sprinkle brothers originated from of which have gone on to bigger and brighter things over the past few decades. For King & Country have gotten quite creative, with an artistic attempt at creating an engaging music video. It feels as though each one of their new music videos comes across as a sort of mini-movie. It’s quite an impressive undertaking and shows a group with talent that many others lack in their presentations. I come with sad news today. A band IVM has written quite a bit about over the past 10+ years, We Came As Romans, has lost a cherished member, Kyle Pavone. Kyle passed away yesterday at the young age of 28. Details of his passing are not yet available and it really isn’t important at this time. What is important is that we all send our condolences to the family of Kyle and band mates left behind. I pray that God will grant all of those left behind peace, hope, and understanding during this difficult time.… Continued →
