Miqedem Release New Album "Vol. 2"

The uniquely individual Israeli music group known as Miqedem are back with their second full length effort of original songs composed entirely in Hebrew and centered around sacred biblical text. This is worship music done not by hipsters in the Nashville spotlight or big arena Christian rock events, but by a group of messianic jews who are composing something fresh and entirely original. Miqedem - Betzet Yisrael

A brand new beautifully shot music video from Israel based indie-world-music inspired group, Miqedem, has been released. The song is titled “Betzet Yisrael”. The song is sung in Hebrew but there are English subtitles in the video. The group’s new crowd funded album will be out April 20th. Support Miqedem on the Road Towards Making Album #2

I first caught wind of Miqedem when Jamie Hilsden (Man Alive) told me about his new world music project with songs taken from the ancient Hebrew bible (Tanach). The songs are sang in Hebrew! I mean here you have a diverse group of individuals located miles away in the country of Israel making music from ancient scripture all on their own independently. How unique is this?
