Raven Faith Records, New Signings
Are you one to seek out some new bands to listen to? There are so many bands and labels out there, it can be easy to let some get by you, but whatever you do, don’t let Raven Faith Records be one of them.

New Peter118 Track, "Waiting" (Free Download)
Yesterday, Peter118 released a new track on Raven Faith Records called “Waiting” and it really took me by surprise. For those acquainted with the Peter118 sound, you’re in for a big surprise as well. Up to this point, the band has played an edgy, raw punk rock, but this is like Peter118 meets Green Day (Nimrod/Warning era) meets 90s grunge and truthfully, the 90s grunge part stands out the most. This song is very well written, catchy as anything, and displays a real growth in songwriting.… Continued →

Most Anticipated Releases of 2019: Rob Jensen
So, 2018 is behind us, another year on the books. After having put together a list of my favorite releases for the year, I decided to try going in the opposite direction and form a list of the albums I’m anticipating most in the coming year. Now, a bit of a heads up before we dig in; I am almost certainly missing some albums here. Some may have escaped my attention, and I’m sure there are more to be announced yet as well. All mentioned below I’m sure are coming this year, but a specific date has yet to be given.… Continued →

Best of 2018: Rob Jensen
2018 had a number of great albums, all of which I couldn’t list here, but after careful consideration, these are my top 20, none of which are listed lightly. See which ones you’d have picked out and maybe find some new music to check out. And please remember, if you do end up finding something new, please support the artist by picking up some of their music!

Letter Kills Teasing Return?
Letter Kills just might be teasing a comeback. It’s a little soon to speculate what it could mean; a one-off reunion show? An new album? I recommend finding the band on their social networks like Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with whatever is going on, because there certainly appears to be activity of some kind going on. Who would like to see these guys get things going again?… Continued →
Introducing: Census
Jessieville, Arkansas is about the last place on earth I’d expect to discover a new artist. I’ve been there, the entire town is comprised of a high school, a post office, and a burger shack. Yet much to my surprise that’s exactly where the progressive rock band Census comes from. The group started out as metalcore releasing an EP and a handful of singles. But with guitarist Ben Carey taking over on vocals the band has taken on a slightly different sound. Check out their newest single “I Can Feel Eternity” below and find the rest of the band’s discography on Bandcamp.… Continued →

The Incomplete List of 2018's Rock Albums and EPs
Finding a rock album in 2018 feels like searching for a needle in a haystack of hip hop. That’s why I’ve done my best to collect all of the rock, alternative, indie, metal, and punk albums I’ve come across in 2018 into one list for you. It’s far from complete (especially when it comes to heavy albums) but hopefully you will be able to find at least a few albums and EPs you haven’t heard yet. Enjoy! (Oh, and feel free to contribute more to the list in the comments!)… Continued →
