Best of 2020: Rob Jensen

I was going to write a little intro to this list of mine, but in the end I figured I’d just let it speak for itself. Alot of great music dropped despite all the year brought us and these are my top 20. Let me know what you think!     20. Everything In Slow Motion – “Influence”. (Rock/Hard Rock) Released 10/16/20 on Facedown Records. Influence was the band’s first release since the 2016 ep, Laid Low. While it didn’t feel like a whole lot of new ground was covered, that is a good thing, especially considering their sound.… Continued →

New GFM Video, "Smile"

If you haven’t started listening to GFM by now, man…get on board already. Really well executed hard rock by these three sisters and hearts set on God. The trio just released their newest ep, “Operation Take Over” at the beginning of the month and have now dropped a music video for the track, “Smile”. Check it out below and leave your thoughts.… Continued →

Skillet Drops New Lyric Video, "Dead Man Walking"

Last month, Skillet re-released their most recent album, “Victorious” and dubbed it “Victorious: The Aftermath” (get yours HERE). The re-release features 3 new tracks and reimagined/remixed versions of previously existing tracks. One of the new tracks, “Dead Man Walking” was just given the lyric video treatment. Seems very reminiscent of what you’d hear off the “Rise” album. Check it out below and see if you agree.… Continued →

Fit For A King Release New Video For "The Path"

Coinciding with the release of the new album, “The Path”, which dropped today, Fit For A King has released a new video for the album’s title track. The new album maintains much of the band’s heaviness from the past while adding some more melodic content as well. We’ll have a review coming your way in the near future. In the meantime, check out the video below and let us know what your thoughts are on it.… Continued →

New Disciple Track, "Enemy"

Disciple has released the third and final bonus track off of the deluxe edition of “Love Letter Kill Shot” which dropped today. Of the three bonus tracks, this one certainly seems to have the most kick to it. You can pick up the deluxe edition HERE and check out the new song below. Don’t forget to share your thoughts on this one.… Continued →

John Cooper (Skillet) Has A Book On The Way, "Awake And Alive To Truth"

John Cooper has written a book that is due out this December called “Awake and Alive to Truth”. John has been on fire on his podcast, “Cooper Stuff” which I highly recommend checking out. From his page, he’s said of the book, “How do you know what’s true when there are so many differing voices telling us what to do? AWAKE & ALIVE TO TRUTH tackles the reigning philosophies of our day and points you to an eternal truth that is unshakeable.” Pre-order HERE.… Continued →

Then It Ends Announces Band, New Music On The Way

Then It Ends has announced that the project has now become a full fledged band. The posting on the band’s page reads as follows: “As many of you know, this has been a long time coming and we want to thank those of you who have been waiting patiently. The time is now for Then It Ends and there hasn’t been a time until this point where this could happen. For those of you who do not know the members, Tyler and Kyle are from the band Dividing the Masses and Grant and Dirk are from A Past Unknown.… Continued →

Disciple Drops New Track, "Darkness Dies"

Disciple will be releasing a deluxe edition of the album, “Love Letter Kill Shot” on September 18th, which will feature 3 new tracks, one of which you can check out now and pick up at your digital retailer of choice. “Darkness Dies” is a single that has a nice contrast between the laid back, melodic side of the band and their edgier, smack-you-in-the-face rock side. It’s a pretty great track that you can pick up HERE, where you can also pre-order the upcoming deluxe release.… Continued →

12 Stones Drops New Single, "Sever"

No, your computer isn’t broken, you’re reading this right, 12 Stones is back with a new track and are in the process of putting together even more more new music as you read this. The new song, “Sever” is reminiscent of the band’s earlier days and will make you eager to hear what else they’re working on right now. Check out the song below and drop a comment.… Continued →

GFM To Release New EP, "Operation Take Over"

GFM (Gold, Frankincense, & Myrrh) have announced the released of a new EP set to drop on Sept 4th. The girls have shown themselves a force to be reckoned with time and time again and have already released the song “Taking Over” (see our previous post HERE) which showed no signs of letting up; if anything, it’s one of the band’s heaviest offerings to date. Pre-orders are up at Apple now (where you can hear samples of the songs off the upcoming release) as well as other digital retailers.… Continued →

Project 86 Re-Release "Self Titled" 1998 Album

Andrew Schwab and Project 86 have just made their debut 1998 “Self Titled” album available once again for streaming/digital purchase. The album has been offline for a number of years probably due to some offense with the song “Independence?”. This album put the Orange County, CA. band on the map in 1998 and by the time of “Drawing Black Lines” in 2000, this band’s mark was clearly felt. I was lucky enough to witness the band’s first few shows back when Ethan Luck was in the band and they had a very heavy, aggressive, RATM influence.… Continued →

Demon Hunter Drop New Cover Songs of Face To Face and LIVE

According to the Demon Hunter facebook page, they have dropped two new cover songs but are only available through their Blessed Resistance Club. I am not a member so I can’t vouch for how these sound but if their prior music is any indication, these 2 covers are going to melt my face off, literally (and no pun intended). Demon Hunter cover the classic Face to Face punk rock anthem, “Disconnected”, as well as the hit 90’s alt rock song “Lightning Crashes” from the now classic 1994 rock album “Throwing Copper” by one of my favorite bands, LIVE.… Continued →

Introducing: Mahalath (Industrial Metal)

I’d like to take a moment and introduce our readers to this cool new industrial/electronic/rock project known as Mahalath. The project features dark sounds and industrial like moodiness running through with fists in the air like urgency. Making one think isn’t always at the forefront of some artists in the music scene but Joel Holycross (Mayfly) and this new project is certainly a different take on substance in music. Read more below and listen to the first song “The Proxy”.… Continued →
