I was going to write a little intro to this list of mine, but in the end I figured I’d just let it speak for itself. Last month, Skillet re-released their most recent album, “Victorious” and dubbed it “Victorious: The Aftermath” (get yours HERE). The re-release features 3 new tracks and reimagined/remixed versions of previously existing tracks. One of the new tracks, “Dead Man Walking” was just given the lyric video treatment. Coinciding with the release of the new album, “The Path”, which dropped today, Fit For A King has released a new video for the album’s title track. The new album maintains much of the band’s heaviness from the past while adding some more melodic content as well. We’ll have a review coming your way in the near future. Disciple will be releasing a deluxe edition of the album, “Love Letter Kill Shot” on September 18th, which will feature 3 new tracks, one of which you can check out now and pick up at your digital retailer of choice. “Darkness Dies” is a single that has a nice contrast between the laid back, melodic side of the band and their edgier, smack-you-in-the-face rock side. The girls have shown themselves a force to be reckoned with time and time again and have already released the song “Taking Over” (see our previous post HERE) which showed no signs of letting up; if anything, it’s one of the band’s heaviest offerings to date. Andrew Schwab and Project 86 have just made their debut 1998 “Self Titled” album available once again for streaming/digital purchase. The album has been offline for a number of years probably due to some offense with the song “Independence?”. This album put the Orange County, CA. band on the map in 1998 and by the time of “Drawing Black Lines” in 2000, this band’s mark was clearly felt. I was lucky enough to witness the band’s first few shows back when Ethan Luck was in the band and they had a very heavy, aggressive, RATM influence.… Continued →

According to the Demon Hunter facebook page, they have dropped two new cover songs but are only available through their Blessed Resistance Club. I am not a member so I can’t vouch for how these sound but if their prior music is any indication, these 2 covers are going to melt my face off, literally (and no pun intended). Demon Hunter cover the classic Face to Face punk rock anthem, “Disconnected”, as well as the hit 90’s alt rock song “Lightning Crashes” from the now classic 1994 rock album “Throwing Copper” by one of my favorite bands, LIVE.… Continued →

The project features dark sounds and industrial like moodiness running through with fists in the air like urgency.
