First of all, Furnace Fest will make a return in 2020 with an as yet to be determined/announced lineup….except in the case of BELOVED. Yep, the highly underrated Solid State Records band who released an Ep and Full length on Solid State Records (plus some other indie recordings pre-Solid State) before calling it quits with a few members joining other bands like Advent and The Almost (among others), IS BACK and ready to rock your faces off. Around the interwebs there are rumblings of a reunion of sorts with the band Beloved. If you’re a member of either the Old School Tooth & Nail, Labeled Podcast Group, or a few others, you may have heard about this. Would this make your day or does it not really matter? I dug “The Running Ep” and especially “Failure On”. This is one of those bands that disappeared far too soon and could have been one of the bigger acts around had they kept it going.… Continued →

Today’s Video Flashback is the track “Aimless Endeavor” from the band Beloved off their 2003 Solid State release, “Failure On”. This band really perfected a style that is so prevalent in today’s music scene, yet they did it almost 10 years ago.
