I just have to say it straight off the bat, this is one of the best ska/punk/rock albums I’ve heard in the past few years. There have been a lot of great ones but there is just something entirely unique that makes October Light deserving of such praise. They make tight, rhythmic ska music with stellar production and with clear, upfront vocals as a featured element. I want to thank the band for sending me the song files and you can all find the same release on digital networks now. This is like the perfect remedy for the warm summer to come and is like one of those party anthems in full length format that’ll keep you movin’ for days. There is even a track featuring Reese Roper (Track 7) titled “Reset” that showcases both Reese’s unmistakable voice and the music of October Light. I’m dead serious when I say that this is the best genre-busting albums of the year. Between Craig’s Brother, Orion Walsh, and now October Light, I think we are in for a pleasant summer to come.
