MrENC is the solo project of Eric Collins, based in Lakeland, Fla. He’s a one-man band that takes on the very full
sound of a regular band in the studio. Collins writes, records, and produces the material on his own. For live shows,
Dean Lorenz takes on the drums, and a cast of revolving musicians stand in on bass and additional guitar.

Their latest EP, On And On And On, is six songs that capture Mr. Collins’ current feelings of trying to navigate
through the chaos of modern life. The record is big and noisy, but it’s coupled with strong arrangements and hooks
to guide you through. The ideas Collins shares of discontent and bewilderment are equally matched with his true
yearning to have love and compassion come to the surface. The title is a mantra to just keep carrying on and
pushing through to see the other side of the chaos.

The band cites Dinosaur Jr., Sonic Youth, and Pavement, as early influences, and bands like Ovlov, Chastity, and
Goon as more current counterparts. There are elements of familiarity to a new listener, but MrENC has certainly
forged their own sound. The vocals lend an air of urgency to the frenzied rise and slow but hard hitting drums

There are also some beautiful stripped-down soft moments where your mind can rest before it all picks back up
again and the volume increases
