Demon Hunter Connect With the World and Release Their 12th Album

By in News | No Comments

Demon Hunter have released one of their most gut punching, emotionally raw and spiritually connective albums to date. To say it’s a timely release is an understatement. There is just something truly special and remarkable about this album. Maybe it’s the grief connection, something I think many of us in this country and across the world really are feeling in light of the death of an influential young Christian and activist, Charlie Kirk. Not everyone will agree with his words or his approach but what we can agree on was his passion for his Faith and that unwavering commitment to share the gospel no matter the cost. People are hungry for substance and are turning to Jesus and the Bible for answers. I know this post is about Demon Hunter and their newest album which is really blowing my mind, but I thought I’d share a quick few thoughts from this week. I think this whole past week has awoken a sleeping giant (great band by the way) and has brought so many Christians across the world together despite our differences. It really has connected many and allowed the opportunity to openly speak about our Faith and share the gospel message peacefully. I’ve seen so many peaceful vigils across this great county and around the world and just an outpouring of positivity. No riots. No buildings burning. No looting or violence. Just tears, sorrow, grief, and an outpouring of love. I think that gospel message and the grief people are feeling brings the connection back to this album and the pain lead vocalist Ryan Clark was feeling when writing the album’s lyrical content. If you couldn’t tell, it was inspired by his mother and the loss he felt by her passing. To bring this to a close I just want to say I appreciate everyone’s difference of opinion especially among our readers. While my opinion probably differs from other musicians and writers in the scene, I respect differences and encourage you all to keep learning, keep seeking, keep praying, and keep the Faith. Thank you Demon Hunter for this incredible and unrelenting collection of songs. Check out music video for their very emotional and stirring song, “There Was a Light Here”, below this post.
