Plead The Widow's Cause Release Heavy and Hopeful New Spirit Filled Hardcore Album

New Jersey based spirit filled post-hardcore band – Plead The Widow’s Cause, just released their brand new full length record titled “(Silver Glass Stare)”. The title of record is actually an excerpt from “The Lord of The Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkien. This is a heavy and metallic, spirit filled, post-hardcore, sometimes melodic, bundle of joy. This is a literal step up from the last record “Pain Split” and shows a band not afraid to stretch out their wings and experiment a little but at the same time drawing on past influences and classic hardcore sounds as well as some screamo 00’s tendencies.… Continued →

Anberlin Teases New Music

Anberlin have released a series of video clips over on their Instagram/Facebook pages with what sounds like new versions of songs off “Never Take Friendship Personal” and a date of 3/21. A video was just posted today with a clip of Matty Mullins (current lead singer of Anberlin and singer for Memphis May Fire) talking about re-recording “Paperthin Hymn” and that same date listed again. So either we are getting a re-recording of Paperthin Hymn with Matty on Friday or a whole album re-recording is dropping that same date.… Continued →

Nate Parrish Releases New Single, "Small"

Nate Parrish has released a new single, titled “Small”. Fairly consistent with Nate’s other punk-laced offerings, “Small” speaks to the sense of feeling burdened by troubles and obstacles that just make you feel…small. Be sure to give it a listen and share your thoughts!… Continued →

Convictions Drops Deluxe Edition of "Fear of God"

In a surprise release (to me, at least), Convictions dropped a deluxe edition of their most recent release, “Fear of God”. The album features 2 new tracks, titled “Bend the Knee” and “Metanoia”. Make sure to check it out and leave a comment with your thoughts! The band is currently set to do a short tour with Attack, Attack in May as well as a few festivals such as Welcome to Rockville in Daytona, FL, Inkcarceration in Mansfield, OH, and Armstrong Metalfest in British Columbia, so you’ve got plenty of chances to catch these guys live.… Continued →

Death Therapy Release New Song "The End is a New Beginning"

Death Therapy just released a heavy yet melodic, brand new song titled “The End Is a New Beginning”. The song is out now and available through all digital networks and streaming sites. This is some of the best material yet from Jason Wisdom and his band. Really killer new song! Check out the lyric video below. For me, it’s like the strange but soothing combo of sounds found in bands like Coheed and Cambria, Demon Hunter, Muse, and Project 86. This also appears to be the band’s first independent release.… Continued →

Hopeful. Drop New Song "Fractured Soul"

Hopeful. have just dropped their latest new song and it is titled “Fractured Soul”. All this new music including their latest single, further proves the power that rests in independent music making and the intersection between Faith and living told through music format. The band had this to say about the song, “To everyone who has ever struggled with affliction, addiction, doubt, anxiety, depression or anything in that category. You aren’t alone! Let this lyric sink in: “It’s time to listen to that voice inside your heart.Continued →

Stop the Bleeding (ex-Tourniquet members) has announced 2 new shows!

In the “I never thought that would happen” news department, official members of Tourniquet have reformed the band (sans drummer/composer Ted Kirkpatrick, RIP) recently for a few shows. Guy Ritter, Gary Lenaire, and Luke Easter are all currently performing together as Stop the Bleeding, as they don’t currently have legal rights to use “Tourniquet.” While not much is known about future plans, (and the band is being somewhat secretive) they are, however, playing a few upcoming shows of note. They’ll be playing in Sweden in March (with Extol’s David Husvik filling in on drums) and one in Versailles, OH at home of Immortal Fest, BMI Center, (with former Haste the Day drummer Devin Chaulk filling in).… Continued →

GoFundMe to Benefit Ted Bond (Craig's Brother) and Family

It was revealed late last year that Craig’s Brother founding member and lead vocalist – Ted Bond, had indeed gotten a diagnosis of Lymphoma. A friend of Ted’s and the family has put together a special GoFundMe campaign to raise funds to help offset the costs associated with the coming medical bills associated with treatment and healing. Since I understand first hand the exorbitant costs from medical bills and deductibles to be met, I know it isn’t easy for many families to pay outright for them on a meager income.… Continued →

The Myriad - Something's In The Water (New Song & Music Video)

Is The Myriad not the absolute best rock act with new music out there right now? Sometimes these older bands reunite only to put out music that isn’t as endearing, fresh, or honoring the past while embracing the future but The Myriad does all of the above and more. Their music is refreshing and cathartic. I can’t help but feel enthralled by each and every “new” song they release and have released over the past year or so. This new track “Something’s In The Water” is nothing short of extraordinary.… Continued →

Gypsy & Me - Ain't Done With You Yet (Official Music Video)

The insanely talented new Americana/Folk/Rebel Country duo known as Gypsy & Me, just dropped their beautiful new music video for the song “Ain’t Done With You Yet” off their most recent album, “Know Hope”. The song itself is a heart stirring collection of words and melodies that will captivate just about anyone who listens and turn your tears of sorrow into that of happiness and delight. Their new album has really captivated me to be honest. It’s one of my top favorites going into 2025 so far and I can’t wait to hear what else this group comes up with this year and beyond.… Continued →

Sonny Sandoval of P.O.D. to Release Book, "Son of Southtown", Small Book Signing Tour

For 33 years, Sonny Sandoval has been the front man for P.O.D. The band hardly requires introductions, having been highly successful band in both Christian and secular music. Known for a highly energetic live show and an eclectic sound that ranges from reggae to hard rock to nu metal to hardcore, the band has surely set their feet on more than enough stages around the world, that Sonny surely has an immense trove of tales to tell.   Well, the wait to hear some of these tales will not last much longer.… Continued →

Lost in Ohio Launch Campaign to Press Aunt Betty's 1996 Album on Vinyl/Tape/CD

Lost in Ohio have just launched a kickstarter campaign (click here) to re-release the controversial debut release from Aunt Betty’s on Vinyl, Tape, and CD. The band featured the late Mike Knott and members of Dakota Motor Co., LSU, Fanmail, etc. The one and only album from this project released in 1996 on a major label but the band imploded shortly after it’s release and many people never got the chance to hear it’s raw, blunt, and unabashedly unafraid punk rock glory. I did listen to this album at one time but my memories escape me for what I found and I wrote it off.… Continued →
