Then It Ends, featuring members of A Past Unknown and Dividing the Masses, have been at it since around 2020 putting out some really incredible music! The band just released a deluxe edition of 2024’s “Closure”. The release features 3 unreleased tracks to cap off an already impressive album, which includes guest appearances from Nick Detty of Wolves at the Gate and Michael Felker of Convictions (catch the video below). A heavy metalcore act that mixes djent and some singing parts by the name of THEN IT ENDS, just dropped their brand new full length titled “Closure”. What a way to close out the year of releases and a beautiful representation of the heavy genre mixed with seeking, honesty, and a cry out to God for his love and forgiveness like lyrics. I was going to write a little intro to this list of mine, but in the end I figured I’d just let it speak for itself. (Rock/Hard Rock) Released 10/16/20 on Facedown Records. Influence was the band’s first release since the 2016 ep, Laid Low. New Metalcore band, Then It Ends (feat. members of A Past Unknown and Dividing the Masses) have released a new song and a video to go with it for the song “Reality”. Much more melodic than the recently released single, “Depravity”, “Reality” contains great lyrics and heavy moments that contrast the laid back feel heard for most of the track in perfect proportion. “Reality” makes for a great listen for fans of a variety of tastes in music. The project from Grant Lilly (formerly from A Past Unknown) has shown a bit of musical diversity with each release, from heavy metalcore sounds to parts that are a bit more melodic. The cover is pretty well done and covers both a bit of clean worshipful ground, while giving it a bit of a hard rock feel as well. If you’ve been keeping up, Then It Ends is the project begun by former A Past Unknown vocalist, Grant Lilly. Up to now, the project has released “Despised” (Full and acoustic versions), “Welcome Home”, and “Addiction”, all of which have been pretty well received. Today, Then It Ends released a new track, “Darkness”, which, in my own opinion, is the best to date. When asked about Then It Ends and this new single, Grant had this to say: “God has inspired me to continue music. I absolutely love metalcore but I do love so many other genres as well.
