Watashi Wa Return With New Song "I Am"

I’m super excited to announce that Watashi Wa are returning in a big way here in 2026. The band reunited back in 2022 with their last album “People Like People” on Tooth & Nail Records. While that album certainly had some good moments this new track is the band’s return to their classic sound from the “The Love of Life” and “Eager Seas” era. The band just announced they have signed with Lost in Ohio for the release of the new single “I Am”. The single drops next week on June 5th and it’s one you absolutely don’t want to sleep on.… Continued →

Watashi Wa and Lakes Vinyl Available For Order Now

I have some exciting news. Two different labels are releasing Watashi Wa and Lakes vinyl. Lakes if you were unaware, was the band that continued on the Watashi Wa legacy after they first broke up including lead vocalist Seth Roberts. Lakes released an EP in 2005 called “Photographs” that dropped in The Militia Group originally. The re-release is being put out by Sing Along Records right here (while you’re there make sure to check out the Long Since Forgotten vinyl). In addition the label Lost In Ohio are releasing the much loved and critically acclaimed Watashi Wa album “The Love of Life” on vinyl for the first time and you can preorder here.… Continued →

Watashi Wa Are Back in 2022 and With a New Album

It’s quite Clear that 10 Years and Separating States are not enough of a Fleeting moment to Look at Watashi Wa, a band who has very much been missed. They may have lost a few battles but they’re certainly gonna win that war. Don’t count a good band out and they aren’t the wrong kind even in the slightest. It’ll take all of me but I’ll be cheering loudly for this band’s return to form. Look for a new album very soon (in 2022). It’ll be fun and exciting, kinda like the air I breathe.… Continued →

Watashi Wa - All of Me

Today’s Video Flashback is from the band Watashi Wa with their song “All of Me” off the album “The Love of Life” (2003 Tooth & Nail Records). Members of this band have gone to play with Eager Seas, Lakes and Bonnie Dune. Seth even played guitar for Mxpx on a few tours. I hosted a show with this band back in 2001 before they signed with T&N and when they were still working with Bettie Rocket. Great guys with some of the best music around. They released two full lengths on Bettie Rocket, one full length on Tooth & Nail (there was a second full length on T&N under the ‘Watashi Wa’ name but it was originally meant as an Eager Seas release).… Continued →
