Blenderhead was an indie rock/punk/post-hardcore/math rock band from the Pacific Northwest and active throughout the 1990s, disbanding in 2001. They were one of the coolest and hardest to peg bands to come out of the 90s Christian alternative scene. It was this innovation and genre-blending that made them unique, but also perhaps limited their fanbase, always being just slightly out of reach for the average listener. I don’t think we’ve covered this band at length in the past but what better a time than now to share some great new music. The band is called Tenkiller probably because a few members are from Tennessee and they are killer? Most likely not, but I consider them killer so there you go. Anyway, this new band might a have a few familiar faces and names coming from bands like For Love Not Lisa, Puller, Blenderhead, Spoken in Tongues, Chainsaw Kittens, and more, all shaping up the lineup for a new band that is more seasoned and talented than a lot of newer groups making a go of it.… Continued →
