Something many of us fans have been eagerly waiting years for and a favorite album among Stavesacre fans, “Speakeasy”, is getting the vinyl treatment in time for the album’s 20th anniversary. The vinyl pressing will go on sale at 10am PST today at the Tooth & Nail Merch Store and will ship once order is placed/processed. I’m starting a new feature here at IVM that’ll focus on a beautiful, important, and defining song for a particular band. Let’s start this feature off right and put the focus on the music of Stavesacre, particularly the song “Gold & Silver”. I remember 20 years ago hearing this album (Speakeasy) which had this almost “ballad” like track named “Gold & Silver” then being struck in the heart heavily by it’s somber melodies, inspired lyrical delivery, and that unmistakable voice of Mark Salomon.
