Song of the Day: Meekness - Anointed Gorenoise!

Mexico City’s Meekness have a new track out for digital download. The extreme noise genre (and all its ridiculously named subgenres: harsh noise wall, power electronics, noisecore, gorenoise, etc.) is a tough genre to get into. It’s even arguable whether it could be called music. While we won’t debate that here, suffice it to say that Meekness definitely offer something fresh and original to the genre. Lament Announce New Album, Release Lyric Videos

Mexican melodic death metal band Lament have been churning out metal for the masses since the 1990s. They have recently announced the issuing of a new album, The Ancient Battle of the Saints, to be released sometime this year. They are also featuring a lyric video from the album’s lead single, Apostle of Hypocrisy. My Place Was Taken joins Rottweiler Records

The Mexican deathcore band My Place Was Taken has joined the roster of Rottweiler Records. The band formed in 2014 with Guitarist Abraham Barberi and Vocalist Jesus Salas.They came together to see if they could help change the drug, alcohol and violent part of their home town, Matamoros, Mexico: the metal scene. Adding Helix Nebula on bass and Daniel Castaneda on drums, the band began promoting their message; to love God and to love others.
