New Indie Vision Music Spotify Playlists

Myself and Noah have been hard at work on creating a variety of Spotify Playlists featuring many bands covered by Indie Vision Music as well as other artists you might recognize. Check out the “Pop Punk Essential Playlist” I created a few weeks ago as well as the “New Song Hits” Playlist I just morphed from the prior “Song Blast” one. Each has new and recent songs from a collection of artists. A little disclaimer: The Pop Punk Essential Playlist is not one that features Christian music only artists.… Continued →

Beloved Drop First New Original Song In Nearly 2 Decades

Returning to our collective mindset here in 2021 with their first new song in almost 20 years is “Abyss” by the band Beloved. It is everything you wanted the band to sound like in 2021 and everything you’ve dreamed about for years. It certainly does live up to expectations and takes them in an entirely new yet still grasping on to pieces of the past. While I can certainly name off handfuls of bands that have recently reunited that maybe shouldn’t have, Beloved are not one of those bands.… Continued →

Living Fire Release New Metal Influenced EP

Punk Meets Metal Band, Living Fire, just dropped a brand new ep titled “Mercy Between Love & Hate” and it is quite a diverse set of songs. Fans of the Dogwood meets Good Riddance sound of the past might be a little disappointed but fans of the heavy music realm who are looking for a talented band to follow will be pleasantly surprised. I would say there is a heavy nu-metal type sound mixed with the punk underground spirit and a rock back bone.… Continued →

War Of Ages - Sleight Of Hand (New Song)

War of Ages just dropped a blistering new song by the name of “Sleight of Hand” which is certainly, dare I say, one of the band’s best? Really diverse track full of the band’s furious energy, unrelenting heaviness, and irreplaceable singing parts. This is really going to be a great new EP (Rhema) that releases on October 29th via Facedown Records. What goes better with Halloween than some heavy metal done War of Ages style, am I right?… Continued →

Reap and Sow Release Punishing New Album That Will Ignite Your Stereo in an Explosive Ball of Flames

Reap and Sow, an east coast melodic/hardcore band, just dropped one of the best new independent heavy music albums of 2021. Stretching it? Well, give it a listen now and you decide. Remember, all opinions are completely subjective and in my honest opinion THIS is some incredible stuff especially from an unsigned, independent band. New album “Greyworld” is out now and on all digital networks across the world. Listen to the full album in a special link right here.… Continued →

Lightworker - Crawling in the Dark (Hoobastank Cover)

Most covers are just quickly mashed together, lacking any real emphasis on originality, pulling an existing song out of it’s sameness and reigniting it to a whole new level. Well my friends, Lightworker have taken the old song “Crawling in the Dark” from 00’s rockers – Hoobastank, and given it a whole new life. Most people don’t know that Hoobastank created a whole bunch of music/songs before The Reason took over airwaves and people’s hearts. This song was a real rocker and Lightworker have breathed new life into this song and the genre as a whole.… Continued →

Ocean Dark Release "Hope & Chaos" New Album

I’m incredibly late with this post and I apologize. European Metal kings by way of Finland – Ocean Dark, just dropped their album last month titled “Hope & Chaos”. It’s incredible stuff and brings to mind some of your favorite metal bands that the scene has produced but on an even grander scale. This mostly unknown band has begun making waves and there’s no stopping them. Please check out “Hope & Chaos” by Ocean Dark on your favorite digital network.… Continued →

TAKE Release Brand New Album "Power Trip"

The band TAKE, from Las Vegas, Nevada are back with a brand new album titled “Power Trip”. The album is a trip down a familiar path while retaining the heaviness and originality the band has become known for. This isn’t the typical, this isn’t mundane and this certainly is not boring. It’s a heavy album but not consisting of that same cookie cutter style everyone is going for. Brings to mind bands like The Warriors, Pantera, Living Sacrifice, Every Time I Die, and really closing the divide between all the diverse sounds of heavy bands you know and love.… Continued →

Phinehas Provide a Little Metal Relief From Reality

Getting your mind off world events, Covid and all variant insanity, the heat of summer, well then might I suggest some guitar heavy music from Phinehas to drown out the noise? Phinehas, a band I’ve been a fan of since right before they joined their first record label like 15 years ago, are back in an absolutely incredible manner. Their brand of metal(core) has been missed and this new song “In The Night” is certainly no exception to their greatness.… Continued →

The Blamed Re-Recording Landmark Debut Record, "21"

Legendary masters of punk-thrash-metal – The Blamed, are going to re-record their landmark, classic album from 1994 called “21”. This debut was really great back when I first heard it and reminded me why I love/loved punk rock. It was like a garage-y, underground sounding album that evoked immediate love for the live experience and sweat drenched, basement worthy punk shows. Even though many of us didn’t venture into that scene as much as others, just hearing a record like this brought to mind what it must have been like.… Continued →

Meadows Sign With Facedown Records

Meadows, a band I’ve written about a bit in the past as well as other writers here, will be coming out with brand new music. They have signed a deal with Facedown Records and have dropped their new single “The Depths”. I encourage you to go check out both of their last 2 releases and give them a listen. It’s great ambient, post-metal/post-hardcore stuff similar in scope to Hands, Between the Buried and Me, Thrice, A Hope for Home, Life In Your Way, Underoath, Architects, etc.… Continued →

HolyName Could Be The Biggest and Most Important Music Act of Our Time

What seemingly began as a solo project of sorts for Tommy Green of Sleeping Giant, HolyName is likely to become one of our music scene’s most important and dare I say, “influential”, acts in a long time. The music hits you in all the right spots, digging deep into the most hardened of hearts. The emotions swelling up between heavy, chugging guitars, thundering drum beats, and soft, soothing vocals building into this sort of adrenaline fueled, aggressive, and violent (sounding) worship music that you’ll never hear at a Church on Sunday morning.… Continued →
