M.I.A. Finds Jesus and Releases a Smashing New Single

Pop Singer & songwriter known as M.I.A. with that definite indie flavor returns after her hiatus to drop the new single, “The One”, (which can be heard below) and smashes all expectations with this surprising follow up. She just signed to Island Records and will release her new album titled “MATA”, later in the year. Robert Vaughn & The Shadows 'Love & War' Remaster Crowdfunding Effort

San Diego-based rock band Robert Vaughn & the Shadows released their classic album Love & War in 1987. As fate would have it, it was the final release on Exit Records (home of Seventy Sevens, Vector and Charlie Peacock), and its partnership with Island Records. Due to the unfortunate demise of the label, the album never saw a CD release (only LP and cassette). While the master tapes were tied up in red tape for decades, Randy Layton of Alternative Records recently worked out a deal to obtain the original masters.… Continued →

Thrice Announce 15th Anniversary Tour for Landmark Album, Vheissu

Thrice have just announced plans for a 15th anniversary tour in honor of their landmark album, “Vheissu”. Vheissu originally released in 2005 via Island Records that was met with a heavy dose of critical acclaim and a bit of negativity from the rabid early years fan base. For me it was a beautiful, musically rich and engaging, endearing album that has stood the test of time. I still remember hearing the song or two on a Burnout game and being so psyched for the band.
