I missed posting about this over the long Fourth of July weekend. Was busy with family and health issues. Anyway, one of my personal favorite Rock bands are back in action. Anberlin have announced their signing to Equal Vision (as reported earlier) and just dropped their new single “Circles”. While different, this song invokes a certain familiarity and instant likability. If you are a longtime fan then I’m sure many of you will appreciate the new direction. World renown hard rock/metal band P.O.D. from San Diego, CA. have just announced that they are playing a 3 Day Set of Songs in May celebrating the 20th anniversary of their landmark 2001 album, “Satellite”. The 3 nights will consist of “Satellite” (2001), “Fundamental Elements of Southtown” (1999), and a 3rd day featuring a collection of HITS, Rarities, B-Sides, and Classic Songs from the past. P.O.D. has long been a favorite of mine, and likely the first Christian band I ever listened to. So far they’ve released “Rockin’ With the Best”, which was met with mixed reviews and just today they’ve dropped the title track to the album, “Circles”. It’s an interesting track that’s a fair variation from the sound we’ve come to know them for in times past, but we wanna know what YOU think. P.O.D. have just dropped the music video for their new fun party anthem “Rockin’ With The Best” and you can check it out below. The song runs between classic hits like “Rock The Party (Off The Hook)” and “Boom”. Just a fun little track meant to amp you up and I’m sure there is more serious content to be found on the full record just the rest of their vast catalog.
