Released in advance of their show with Better Lovers, Hong Kong F**k You and Lockslip in San Diego, “If You’re So Rich, Why Aren’t You Smart?” is The Undertaking!’s latest chaotic jam. Mixing heavy breakdowns in with their chaotic riffing, this song provides the right formula for the band’s vibe.
Lyrically, the song takes inspiration from an episode of the 90’s X-Men animated show in which the time traveler Bishop gets lost in the Axis of Time. Since “all the psychics have been kidnapped,” it’s time to save the day.
“If You’re So Rich, Why Aren’t You Smart?” was written, recorded, mixed and mastered by the band. Lastly, it’s the lead single off their upcoming EP titled “Only Left Alive To See The End.”
