I have decided to revisit the much adored IVM Release from Pennylane titled “From Paradise to Parking Lots“. Seth Stephen of Simpul Studio is working on a digital remaster of the original files (before it was mastered for CD release back in 2004). This 6 track 2017 remaster will go live in September sometime. I am decided to cut the 3 “Live” tracks from this remaster and just have the original studio files as they were intended to be heard. It truly is bittersweet news I report to you today. The much cherished Christian ska-punk band O.C. Supertones have launched their (Final) LIVE 2 Album + Last Show on Video. You can order it right here in two different versions (Audio or Audio + Video). The audio tracks come with both the final show, acoustic night, and a rare new unreleased track called “The Fallout” (which pretty much rules). MyChildren MyBride released “Thorns” today and announced their fourth new album, Vicious World. The band’s been working hard at it for the last three years, after losing Guitarist Cory Johnson (ex-Sleeping Giant, ex-xDeathstarx, ex-Impending Doom), Bassist Nelson Flores (ex-The Great Commision, ex-Sovereign Strength) and Drummer Mathis Arnell (The Plot in You). Vision of God Records have a new band on the ever growing roster. The band goes by the name Prayer, not to be confused with the band Orationem, which means prayer in Latin. Prayer is a metal/hardcore band from Brazil. The band formed in June 1999, and have been at it ever since. In 2002, they released a demo, in 2006, an EP called Show Me the Way, and an album in 2009 titled Anatomy of Reality. Thrice did an interview back in July with OC Weekly about the recent reunion, the tour they’d been on, and new music they are working on. According to the article, the band have been writing new songs on this most recent outing with Rise Against and Deftones.
