The amazing new pop-punk/emo band known as Static Ultra are here with their BRAND NEW song titled “Out of My Head” which released a few days ago. Their style instantly brings to mind all the best the early to mid 00’s pop punk and emo had to offer yet breaking free of the nostalgia to bring you a fresh take and an individual style to get your singing along with every beat in your chest. Check out the song below and make sure to add it to all of your playlists and blast from your stereos/headphones because I promise you won’t be able to get this song out of your head!… Continued →
Introducing: This Surrender
I stumbled across this band the other day and had to give their latest EP a listen. This Surrender are described as an Easycore band out of Brooklyn, NY. but I would add in worshipful lyrics and a message of hope built on love. As their bio says, they are inspired by the likes of Killswitch Engage, For Today, alongside Four Year Strong and A Day To Remember. Imagine that mashup and you get kind of the idea of just what music you’ll discover upon listening.… Continued →

Slow Coming Day Premiere Brand New Song at IAMTUNEDUP That Will Absolutely RULE Your Weekend
Slow Coming Day is crushing it, I mean absolutely slamming it with this new song titled “Speak Now or Forever Hold Your Peace”. This is the band’s return to new recorded music as a group which is being said of almost 2 decades but I guess those special Indie Vision Music songs from a few years ago will remain unknown secret hits 😉 This song just like all their other music, hits in all the right places and soars like so many other songs fail to do.… Continued →

Introducing: Generation Gone
For this special Saturday in July I thought I’d share another really great project with you this time from a group called “Generation Gone“. They are a melodic hardcore punk band out of Southern California featuring a heavy, hard hitting sound that is melodic at times and furious all the time. The music is loud but the production is above all the rest (makes sense since the famous producer Paul Miner has his hands on producing these tunes). Songs about life and frustration, about Faith and resolution, about coming to grips with who you are and what you believe.… Continued →

The Lost Chorus Release New Song "The Ballad of 54"
This low key, somber indie rock dream sequence of a song titled “The Ballad of 54” by the band The Lost Chorus just dropped on digital networks and it’s an absolute winner. It’s unlike most stuff out there. The cool thing is that this supergroup of sorts features collaborations between Andy Zipf and members of Stavesacre and Project 86. It almost takes on this movie soundtrack vibe with haunting vocals and melodies that have this dark feel of sorts. It’s good stuff and definitely worthy of listen after listen.… Continued →

Introducing: Static Ultra
I am going to take a moment and introduce you all to this incredible new pop-punk act known as Static Ultra. They absolutely kill it and their bright & poppy sound is full of heartwarming melodies and engaging sing-a-longs inspired by all those early to late 00’s emo/poppunk jams yet forging forward with a sound all their own. If you want a classic, nostalgic flow with energetic vocals and hard hitting guitar/bass/drums, then Static Ultra is for you. Make this summer one to remember by checking out their few months old track “Hold On To Me” and next week’s new song “Out of My Head”.… Continued →

23 Years of Indie Vision Music
[Some ‘2000’ song favorites can be heard below] On this day in year 2000 I launched a website that changed the trajectory of my free time and offered a hobby that became so much more. I may not have ridden the dot com wave or had a commercial at the Super Bowl but I found happiness and contentment in my own little niche on the world wide web. I’m immensely proud of IVM and my experiences over the past 23 years. To hold on to one domain with one owner for that many years is nothing short of extraordinary (a miracle really).… Continued →

Anberlin "Convinced" EP, Out Now!
Anberlin have just released their brand new 5 song EP titled “Convinced” and it’s available worldwide today. Thoughts on this new outing from scene faves, Anberlin? I kinda wished they named this EP “Conversate” because it would remind me of my favorite Anberlin album, “Cities”, and just sounds fun. The last ep and this one together make a really diverse set of songs with a sound much more mature and modern in nature. Do I like it personally? Well, I don’t know the answer to that all important question quite yet as I’ve only listened once through.… Continued →
The Julies Release Brand New Song Titled "Symmetry"
The Julies are back in a big way this year. They’ve had a couple prior (old) albums repackaged and released on Vinyl for the first time by Lost In Ohio and now they come back with a brand new song titled “Symmetry” which is quite frankly the best I’ve ever heard from them or any likeminded band for that matter. I hate using all the genre specific classifications when describing songs such as this because honestly, this band goes above and beyond to bring you music which rides a wave of uniquely, “Julies” music but terms like “shoegaze”, “indie pop rock”, “Dream pop”, etc could easily be applied to this then twisted around and around with the beautiful color hues projecting outwards.… Continued →

Light The Way just dropped their brand new song titled “Life Makes No Sense” and it is now available on ALL digital networks and streaming sites. It is a fantastic new song and one of the band’s strongest efforts so far. It’s meaningful, it’s a bit depressing, it’s entirely honest, and it’s a song full of vulnerability and hope. Make sure to give it a solid listen and add these guys to all of your playlists. Solid Pop-Punk such as this comes only ever so often and they are riding a wave of uniqueness that will be hard to replicate.… Continued →

Everything Is Gonna Be Alright, Be Strong, Believe: 20 Hits From 20 Years Ago
*This is an update to an article that originally appeared on Indie Vision Music back in 2018 for the 15th Anniversaries of the albums below. Some wording and arrangements may have been altered. I hope you enjoy this article as much as I enjoy these albums. Happy 20th to all these and many more that may have been accidentally left off the list (my memory is fuzzy). 15 20 years ago, a collection of what can now be determined as “Classic Hits” were unleashed on a crowd that had an insatiable appetite for what was new and considered “ROCK” music.… Continued →
