Song of the Day: Red Sea - Hellbound Train

I used to have this one on cassette tape back in the day. Red Sea was a hard rock/bluesy band that included Die Happy’s vocalist & Fear Not’s guitarist. It was released on Rugged Records which also featured artists such as Reflescent Tide & Disciple. I remember 3 singles from this one & this SOTD was the first. Roxx remastered & released the LP in 2021. And be sure to check out my website www.castingsuchathinshadow.com and my pre-recorded radio show on Ripper Radio aired on Sundays 5-6 pm EST.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Benjamin - Don't Tell Him You Love Him

Benjamin is the only son of Christian music legends Bill & Gloria Gaither. I have always liked this song & The Narrow Road. Rain Down a Fire was big on CCM radio also. I love the lyrics to the chorus of this song. Don’t tell Him you love Him, Don’t tell Him you need Him til you’re ready to fall down on your knees & ready to serve Him. Song of the Day: Groms - Ascension

I have always liked this song with its straight to the point lyrics. I remember having a conversation with my friend Ravn Furfjod who was excited as I was when the album got remastered through Nordic Mission Records. GROMS stands for God rules over my soul. Check out the lyrics below. I am the Lord  I am calling you  Death isn’t finished   Rise from your sleep!  Judgement day has come!   You will be delivered  If your name is written in the Book of Life

The Blamed Re-Record "Separation" for 2022 and It is HUGE!

The Blamed just re-recorded their 1994 classic song – “Separation” off the album “21” and have posted it on soundcloud for your listening pleasure. Personally, I think this song blows away past material. It’s so well done yet classic at the same time. If 1994 was 2022, this is what “Separation” would most definitely sound like. Kudos to Bryan, Jim, and the rest of the gang for paying tribute to your roots while at the same time embracing the future. I can’t wait to hear what comes next!… Continued →
