Nebraska/Iowa based Post-Hardcore/Old School Emo band Names Without Numbers, have made their return known. The band has played quite a few shows this year including a recent gig with Stryper. Names Without Numbers has a show on December 11th with Spoken and Dayshell in Omaha, Nebraska at Lookout Lounge (see flyer below). Anberlin which broke up in 2014, has stayed relatively busy behind the scenes with producing an incredible (that I wished I owned) Vinyl box set featuring all 7 full length releases along with a coffee table book. As was expected, the vinyl box set sold out a few months after going on sale, all 1000 copies sold out. Sellers across third party sites are marking these things up double and triple from what they originally went on sale at. It’s crazy. Recently, I discovered The Ongoing Concept. Ok, well I had heard of them before, just was never interested. I downloaded the Son of Screamfest 2016 compilation and heard “Prisoner”. I followed up with listening to “Cover Girl”, “Failures and Fakes” and “Saloon”. I did a little more research, and discovered something. It seems that Brothers Kyle and Parker Scholz and friend TJ Nicholz seem to have left the band. Leaving Dawson Scholz, the remaining brother, the main member. For All Eternity, the Christian melodic metalcore band, has started to work on the demos for their third album. After the release of Metanoia, the band hit the ground running. Scoring high in the charts, the album hit 23 in Billboard Christian Albums and 21 in Billboard’s Top Heatseekers Albums. The band teased the recording of demos on November 15, 2016. I was browsing iTunes this morning and found a sweet pre-order from the band Phinehas for their upcoming ep “Fight Through The Night” (available December 16th). You can even listen to the samples on iTunes. It appears to be an “acoustic” release with the band backing up Sean’s strong hit worthy voice (if any guy is made for radio, it’s him). One song “Book of Names” features Garrett Russell of Silent Planet. This Ep follows the same feel as their 2013 “The Bridge Between” Ep.
