Toarn - Giant Killer

The Christian deathcore band Toarn has been working hard since 2009. This year, 2016, the band released an EP titled Giant Killer through Luxor Records, a label run by Nick Morris of As They Sleep. The label consists of bands such as Upon a Broken Throne, Broken Flesh, and My Heart to Fear. The band released a music video for the title track. Enjoy.

Descendantz - Undeniable

Earlier this month, Rapzilla premiered Descendantz’ music video for “Undeniable.” For those unfamiliar with this classic group, its members include Eddie Nigma, DJ Morph, and ELPro. Erick Dayz, Datin, and Selah the Corner join the crew to showcase their skills on the track. If you’ve been bored with hip-hop lately, you won’t want to miss out on hearing this face-melting song.… Continued →

Thrice - Red Sky

On this slow Sunday I figured I’d do a little video flashback from the band Thrice. This song “Red Sky” appeared on the band’s 2005 full length effort, “Vehissu“. Following up the chart topping, fan favorite “The Artist in the Ambulance” seemed like a troublesome task but take a skilled band like Thrice and the end result further proved that the band’s prior success was definitely no “fluke”. This was and still is a band that is here to stay.… Continued →

Heart Like War - Bring it On

Los Angeles based pop-punk band Heart Like War released this fun little music video for their new song “Bring it On” a few months back and I wanted to spotlight it for those of you that didn’t know who these guys are. The band released their 2nd full length album titled “Fired Up” on Thumper Punk Records back in June of this year. Fans of Mxpx, Sum 41, Blink 182, and old Hawk Nelson will find something to appreciate in this new album.

ForeverAtLast - Shoreline

Another band I want to highlight is the melodic punk band ForeverAtLast which released an explosive collection of songs last year in the album “Ghosts Again”. The band is touring constantly and you may have caught them at a show this past year. Think of Paramore meets Children 18:3 meets Anberlin meets Heartsounds and you’ve got a good impression of what this female led punk band sounds like. “Ghosts Again” available now wherever fine music is sold. Check out this music video for the song “Shoreline”.… Continued →

Islander - Bad Guy

An album I’ve been enjoying since it was released back in August is by the band Islander. The album is called “Power Under Control” and it has that Blindside meets POD meets Deftones meets Papa Roach vibe. The album was released by Victory Records back on August 5th (stream on spotify below) and this is a video for the track “Bad Buy” off the album. Enjoy!

Theocracy - Ghost Ship

Theocracy have just released their brand new full length effort, “Ghost Ship” on October 28th through Ulterium Records. This most anticipated new release and 4th album from this Georgia band is sure to win over even the most skeptical of metal fan. Technical, fast, melodic, and full of soaring melodies (and guitar solos). Check out a music video for the title track below. Limited vinyl is available from Ulterium Records and on Amazon.

Nothing Left - Hands of Death (For Today, A Bullet For Pretty Boy, Silent Planet)

Nothing Left released a blistering debut single “Hands of Death” today. The band is a new project from the Leitru brothers (For Today) with Danon from A Bullet for Pretty Boy on vocals & Alex (Silent Planet) recorded drums. What do you think? Since this was posted on the Nuclear Blast page it’s only assumed that the label will be releasing this band’s debut. Stay tuned for details.

MxPx - Doing Time

Today’s Video Flashback is of classic MxPx track “Doing Time” off the “Life In General” album (1996/Tooth & Nail Records). It’s amazing to think that Life in General just turned 20 last month. So crazy how fast time flies. Speaking of MxPx, they recently released a “Live” film from their Observatory shows in 2015 and the band has a rare single that was part of their campaign for the live film that you can hear below.… Continued →
