Dogwood Comes Out of Retirement to Play Epic Shows With Mxpx and Five Iron Frenzy in January 2017

You’re reading that right and NO, you are not stuck in some strange past dimension. January 2017 is going to go off with two shows from everyone’s favorite melodic punk band Dogwood along with epic sets by Mxpx and Five Iron Frenzy. Names Without Numbers Make Their Return

Nebraska/Iowa based Post-Hardcore/Old School Emo band Names Without Numbers, have made their return known. The band has played quite a few shows this year including a recent gig with Stryper. Names Without Numbers has a show on December 11th with Spoken and Dayshell in Omaha, Nebraska at Lookout Lounge (see flyer below). The band formed in 2000 and has played a distinct blend of (old school) emo and fiery post-hardcore mixed with a special blend of alt rock for good measure. We Are Leo have pushed back their new full length “The Rush & The Roar” from November to Spring 2017. Five Iron Frenzy "Upbeats and Beatdowns" Get the Vinyl Treatment

The festivities of Five Iron Frenzy day (yesterday) has brought us news of the band’s now classic album “Upbeats and Beatdowns” getting the vinyl treatment. “Upbeats and Beatdowns” was this band’s eclectic debut record, released 20 years ago on 5 Minute Walk Records. This awesome vinyl pressing will be handled by SMLXL Vinyl and shipped out in March 2017. Pre-order now right here. Little Hurricane Signs to Mascot Label Group

San Diego, CA. alt-blues act Little Hurricane, have signed with Mascot Label Group. The label along with the band’s own imprint, Death Valley Records will release the band’s new album in early 2017. This will be the band’s 3rd full length effort following both “Homewrecker” and “Gold Fever”. Little Hurricane features Anthony “Tone” Catalano (Lead vocals,guitar) and Celeste “CC” Spina (Drums, BGV). Anberlin to (Possibly) Press Vinyl Box Set One More Time

Anberlin which broke up in 2014, has stayed relatively busy behind the scenes with producing an incredible (that I wished I owned) Vinyl box set featuring all 7 full length releases along with a coffee table book. As was expected, the vinyl box set sold out a few months after going on sale, all 1000 copies sold out. Sellers across third party sites are marking these things up double and triple from what they originally went on sale at. It’s crazy.
