Furnace Fest Band Reunions FINAL Round Up, 2023

In honor of the greatness of a Festival that brings much joy to so many, I’m compiling a short longer list of recent band reunions announced for Furnace Fest 2023. This Fest has had a tumultuous past couple of years in light of the horrors and inconveniences Covid has brought to so many and yet they’ve persevered to cobble together an insane experience with an ongoing commitment to quality and fan adoration. While I haven’t been able to attend in either the past or more recently, I’m there in spirit.… Continued →

The Insyderz are Back in Action

Michigan based Ska-Core legends known around the world as The Insyderz, are back in 2023! The band last released “The Sinner’s Songbook” back in 2012. While no news about “new” music has surfaced I am certainly not against hearing a full band sound on a new track with that hard hitting, classic sound. The band recently played a local show last week which is leading up to their big set at Furnace Fest this year. What’s your favorite Insyderz song and what are you most looking forward to hearing at Furnace Fest?… Continued →

Welcome Makeshift3 to Furnace Fest 2022

It has just been announced that the band – Makeshift3, have just been added to Furnace Fest 2022 as one of the new headliners. Indie Vision Music will be there to support and share (spam) good music with everyone in attendance. This is such super-secret news that nobody else knows about it yet, but we’ve been given exclusive access to one of the finalized line up sheets that was found in a trash bin outside Furnace Fest HQ. We believe this is the real deal.… Continued →

Song of the Day: Few Left Standing - Wishing You

Few Left Standing was a spirit filled late 90s hxc band from Tennessee. Their stuff was primarily released by Takehold Records which actually housed Underoath in their early days (my fave from the band). The band reformed & played a show recently at Furnace Fest. This SOTD always reminded me of another song by Zao called A Fall Farewell as the lyrics relate to wishing a friend would find Jesus. I also put some of the footage from the Furnace Fest show for your enjoyment. A moment whispered A fleeting thought A lifetime lived In one short breath I sit alone in a quiet place Remembering a smile A smile that in one instant Drowns out the sorrows of the world A smile from the face of innocence I sit and watch As the seasons change Falling like dying leaves I sit and watch as the cold hands Choke at my existence You’re not the only one You’re hurting You stare expressionless As our worlds are torn apart I reach for your hand Why don’t you reach back?… Continued →

Furnace Fest 2021

In a stunning change of events, Furnace Fest WILL return this year and in that fall slow they rescheduled to last year. You definitely don’t want to miss this one time opportunity to catch some of the biggest bands of the music scene along with some reunions and other one off shows. This will be an unforgettable weekend and something that probably will only come through once in a lifetime. Although I won’t be able to attend personally, I’ll be there in spirit. I really hope the Furnace Fest founders will somehow film this and/or make it a live streaming event.… Continued →

Beloved (US) Make Triumphant Return at the 2020 Edition of Furnace Fest

First of all, Furnace Fest will make a return in 2020 with an as yet to be determined/announced lineup….except in the case of BELOVED. Furnace Fest Returns For Huge Event in 2020

It appears that the much loved FURNACE FEST is BACK! After over a decade away, the festival will return with a huge lineup in September of 2020. Imagine that dream lineup of your favorite bands from the late 90’s and early 00’s and that sums up this fest back in the day.
