The Ohio band Pits are a band whose roots started in Panama. They are a hard band to list genre-wise, but I would say emo-pop punk-alternative esque. Appears they only released 1 full length & an 8 song EP on Angryson Records. This was the same label who released music from Neshamah & Aftertaste. The short lived Mono vs Stereo label picked up this SOTD for their The Revolution Will Begin in the Blink of an Eye 2nd comp. Names Without Numbers are excited to announce that they will be releasing a very special 20th anniversary edition of their album “Running Marathons / Chasing Ambulances” on White Vinyl (limited to 100 copies)! Lugsole was a noisy indie rock band from Birmingham AL with hints of post-punk and emo in their sound. Despite a significant number of releases–both independent and label-issued–they remained a fairly obscure act, whose fans were either music critics or diehard independent music aficionados. I was alerted to this band The Caballerials by a friend and must say that their brand of pop-punk is anything but boring. Fun emotionally charged pop-punk with a heavy 2000’s vibe that’ll please fans of Home Grown, FenixTX, Blink-182, Man Alive, Ace Troubleshooter, and even Olivia The Band. Matty Mullins of the band Memphis May Fire is taking over lead vocals for Stephen Christian in the much loved rock band, Anberlin. He will be their new touring vocalist for 2024. Stephen is taking a much needed break from band life to focus on his family and Church duties as full time pastor.
