Slow Coming Day have announced 2 California reunion shows later this month and both with the much loved Watashi Wa. August 25th in Templeton, CA. and August 27th in Los Angeles. The band is releasing a special new music video for “Captivated” very soon. Names Without Numbers are back in a big way on January 13th. Their new song “Florida” will drop on that date and we have a little teaser to offer all of you. This is without a doubt the band’s strongest song to date and further reminds me of just how good they are, not just in regards to indie music but rock n roll as a whole. Adam Lohrbach of Home Grown fame returns with his latest creation, Radical Radical. He dropped his debut song titled “Misfit Toys” which is a wild, nostalgia driven ride through pop-punk soundscapes and grasping close at those heart strings. Two special things are happening next month, the 20th anniversary of Indie Vision Music and the 20th anniversary re-release of the debut EP from my pals in Names Without Numbers! This 20th anniversary edition re-release features re-imagined artwork, and a remastered version of all 5 songs found on the EP. Available digitally and possibly on Vinyl. It is a beautiful snapshot of a particular time in music history. 16 years ago Indie Vision Music released a little known EP by a little known emo/indie rock band from Kauai, Hawaii known as “Pennylane”. So much has changed in the years since both professionally, musically, industry, and personally, that those years seem like such a blur. I just remember a friend passing this self released EP to me at one of my Chain Reaction shows that the band released on their own and loving every second of it. Australian based indie rock/emo band – Thinktank, are officially back, for the time being. They have a show scheduled with Seraphs Coal, Antiskeptic, and STR (another awesome Aussie band) May 29th and “hopefully” working on new music as teased in a short video. The band released several influential releases back in the late 90’s and early 00’s before hanging it up. Check out a couple albums on Spotify and other digital networks now.
