Everything Is Gonna Be Alright, Be Strong, Believe: 20 Hits From 20 Years Ago

*This is an update to an article that originally appeared on Indie Vision Music back in 2018 for the 15th Anniversaries of the albums below. Some wording and arrangements may have been altered. I hope you enjoy this article as much as I enjoy these albums. Happy 20th to all these and many more that may have been accidentally left off the list (my memory is fuzzy). 15 20 years ago, a collection of what can now be determined as “Classic Hits” were unleashed on a crowd that had an insatiable appetite for what was new and considered “ROCK” music.… Continued →

Dismissed Take The Good With The Bad for 19 Years

It’s hard to believe that 19 years have passed since a young 24 year old Brandon connected with a band of youngsters that nobody outside of our very small small population of Orange/San Diego counties had heard. I remember eating some tasty tex-mex food at Chevy’s (remember that place?) here in Laguna Niguel, CA. back in early 2003 and through the talking noise of fellow patrons with full bellies of perfectly formed machine made tortillas, I discussed the future of IVM and a band, Dismissed. It changed my life, quite literally.… Continued →

Joel Piper Covers Classic 1997 Dogwood Song and It is Out Now!

Joel Piper (Lifelong/Avery Pkwy/Ex-Confide/Ex-Dismissed/Ex-Olivia the band) has surprisingly covered and recorded a version of the little heard and now classic 1997 Dogwood track, “In The Line of Fire”. This is a truly unique song and is sure to raise those eyebrows but at the same time bringing hope to so many people. Check out the song now on all digital networks and streaming sites. I always considered this a really emotional ballad and perspective not heard much in popular “Christian” music. I identify with this song not only for the situation my wife was in as a young teenager but also all the other countless babies that are discarded like yesterday’s news and lack of compassion some have for the unborn.… Continued →

Joel Piper - As You Find Me (and more new music)

Joel Piper has been quietly releasing new music through digital networks. Joel not only drums/sings bgv for melodic hardcore band Lifelong but also has drummed for bands like Confide, Olivia The Band, and Dismissed back in the day. He also has another project called “Avery Pkwy”. His new solo music takes an introspective turn and dives into worship territory. It’s somber, it’s honest, and it is uplifting. Check out a couple new tunes below and find his music on your digital networks of choice. These songs are being released through Joel’s new label/brand “Iconic Nation”.… Continued →

Remastered Versions of Dismissed and Josiah Coming Soon

I have decided to have Dismissed “Taking the Good With the Bad” and Josiah “Verona” remastered by Seth at Simpul Studio. This Dismissed version will be a new remastered version of the original master. I will swap out the old “remastered” version on bandcamp and get this new version up on all digital networks in January. Josiah “Verona” will sound better and have vocals brought more out front. I’m excited to share these with you soon. For now, these are the only recordings getting the remastered treatment.… Continued →

Indie Vision Music Releases Now On Digital Networks

Most of the old IVM Releases are now on several digital networks with more being added each day. I have added the iTunes/Spotify links for what is available right now. You can also check Amazon, Google Play, and Emusic for more. I will also be distributing a great new ep by a pop-punk band you’ve heard about recently so get pumped! I am working to get Hearts Bleed Passion Vol. 2 & 3 up on digital networks as well as Josiah, Dismissed “Self Titled Ep”, and a new Dismissed “Taking The Good With the Bad” Remaster that is being done by Seth at Simpul Studio off the original master recordings.… Continued →

Staff Blog: Happy 10th, Dismissed

Happy 10 year anniversary to the Dismissed “Taking the Good With the Bad Album”, released in March of 2003 on Indie Vision Music. Not too many people know who this band was but they held a special place in my heart. I once saw them open up for Fall Out Boy to a venue of maybe 100 people max in 2003. It’s funny when you think of where one band went and the direction of the other band. I’ve learned a lot in 10 years but I still look back with fondness on those Dismissed guys and their music.… Continued →
