I think we missed posting about this new full length from Allen Odell, a month ago. Allen creates some really mellow, chill, spiritually relevant post-emo and indie music that inspires. Allen Odell just released an inspiring and dreamy sounding new song that is both laid back and poignant at the same time. A telling song for a challenging time we are in. Adding backing vocals of Benjamin Daniel just adds to the many layers this song already consists of. Check out “West Lawrenceville” below. The song deals with grief and heartache from a loss of life through the lens of hope. Allen Odell released a brand new song titled “Are You Okay?” back in January and it is a magical, beautifully dynamic yet simple, new song. I’m loving the vocals and soft guitar strumming from Allen. This song has some soft beats in the background adding layers to this already great sound. It’s like a mix of Matt Kearney, Jon Foreman, and David Bazan with a little Snow Patrol thrown in (vocally).
