Vanessa From Maine - I Still Have Faith (Ex-One Star Story)

Going way back into the vaults of IVM history a few of you might recall a female led indie pop-rock band called One Star Story. They had news and reviews on this site as well as appeared on multiple compilations. I just got a blast from the past when Vanessa (Rose) emailed me about her new project after more than 6 years away from making music. She was vocalist for One Star Story and now goes by the name of “Vanessa From Maine” on digital networks/streaming sites. Her new song “I Still Have Faith” is out now and you can stream it below to give it a listen. Her style of music is now less Paramore and comes up more as a cross between Lana Del Rey and Kacey Musgraves. It is a really great song in the singer/songwriter genre and an excellent representation of where she is at now in her musical career, which is a talented and seasoned professional doing things her own way.
