Thumper Punk Turns 10!

By in News | 5 Comments

I’d just like to send out a special congratulations to David who runs Thumper Punk for reaching the 10 year milestone. I remember hooking up with the label back near the beginning and during our last complete site overhaul. A lot of great punk stuff has come out of this label in the past 10 years some of which many of you probably didn’t know existed. Check out this special digital release featuring new recordings by some of the earliest Thumper Punk Records bands below via bandcamp. The release is also available through all digital networks and streaming sites.

I thought last year they were packing it in? Maybe that was even summer of 2017. I picked up a bunch of great albums for cheap as they were getting rid of everything. Are they planning on being around and sticking around now? Love the label! Really the only way for me to find fantastic punk in the style I like (rough around the edges).

TPR went on hiatus in January 2018, but resurfaced in August. I missed being involved with music and the friendships with the bands. Thanks for the kind words. We’re back with a focus on supporting the SoCal JCHC scene and a few of the historical TPR bands.

That’s great to hear! Thank you so much for the update! Does that return involve physical media or are all releases digital from now on? I’ve always been more of a physical media person.

Thanks for the kind words and support. We’ll be pressing CDs for bands to sell at shows, and through their webstores. I like physical media too, but my days of shipping CDs are over. SkyBurnsBlack has my remaining inventory of CDs.
