The metallic hardcore act, Strengthen What Remains has a new song streaming, as well as pre-orders for their Promo cassette for 2017. The band started in 2010 and released two studio albums and an EP. The band recently had a few members step down and had new members join. One of those is Logan Hayworth, former Bassist for Abated Mass of Flesh. The Promo tracklist is:

Metallic hardcore? Wouldn’t that be….metalcore?
It’s another term for it yes. Some people call it metallic hardcore. That’s what Blood & Ink (their label) called them
I think they use that term because “metalcore” carries different sonic connotations than it previously did. It’s no longer hardcore punk played with more traditionally metal guitar lines; it’s more often the realm of pop choruses mixed with screaming and breakdowns. That’s not passing judgement on metalcore per se, but more saying that it doesn’t conjure the image of the kind of thing that SWR do musically.
