Relient K's "Two Lefts Don't Make a Right...but Three Do" Turns 15

By in News | 7 Comments

Sometimes it’s crazy to me to see how old some albums are, and this is definitely one of those instances. Hardly feels like it’s been 15 years, maybe because I still have this one in my listening repertoire on a semi-regular basis. So, after 15 years, how does this album hold up for you? Do you have any favorite tracks or memories from it? Here’s my favorite.

A great album. I was able to buy it as a two-disc version along with the Employee Of The Month EP, which was released one year earlier. It was the first album I bought and I must have played it hundreds of times.

What I admired then and still do about RK is their ability to write catchy music with great hooks and combine it with witty and meaningful lyrics.

The different covers were typically RK as was the hidden track.

Nostalgia dictates that this is a very special album for me. It was the album that got me into ‘Christian music’ (or ‘decent Christian music’ that might be). If it wasn’t for randomly buying this at a Christian conference/festival here in the UK, I may never have discovered the music that has made such a wonderful impact on my life and faith. Thanks RK.

Man, this is my favorite Relient K album by far. Not a bad song on this album

Also, fun fact: There is a podcast called GoodChristianFun which offers a humorous (and borderline sardonic) look at Christian pop culture, and they have regularly declared “Mood Rings” to be one of the worst Christian songs of all time.

The lyrics definitely wouldn’t get a band very far these days.

I still weirdly think one of the coolest things about this album was that it came with differing cover art. I think I bought the green one.
