Namesake Release Absolutely Incredible New Full Length Album

By in News | No Comments

The melodic punk act “Namesake” which was originally from Arizona just came back out of retirement to release their first official record. Say what? Well this band existed from the late 90’s to early 00’s, playing along side some of the best early bands of our music scene and doing a few spot dates on west coast. The band released some demos and even was included on I’m Your Biggest Fan Vol. 2, that infamous Tooth & Nail Records compilation that dropped almost 20 years ago (2002). Well, the band came back and recorded one of the best debut records I’ve heard in years. It’s intelligently written and offering up catchy choruses and fast beats not to mention some pretty nifty guest spots including Josh Kemble of Dogwood. If you like great melodic punk rock akin to Much the Same, The Swellers, Slick Shoes, Millencolin, No Use for a Name, Face to Face, Craig’s Brother, MxPx, and of course Dogwood, then you’ll love this. You can purchase the album right now via the band’s bandcamp page (listen below) and it should be on digital networks very soon. Enjoy! [Facebook]
