Kevin Kiehn to release EP this Fall!

By in News | 5 Comments

Years ago, I came across a band called The Wedding online and instantly fell in love with their music, every aspect of it. On their self-titled album and their sophomore release, “Polarity”, vocalist Kevin Kiehn did an amazing job on vocals, helping to make those albums quite memorable and still favorites of mine to this day. After touring a bit following the release of “Polarity” however, Kiehn stepped down as frontman of the band and away from music for the past 10 years. According to a recent post on Facebook however, Kevin has announced he is currently recording a new ep that will be released this Fall. Head over to www.kevinkiehn.com for the video announcement and be sure to sign up for his mailing list, which will keep you up to date on what he’s up to and also gets you an acoustic demo track. “Polarity” is such a rad album – one of my absolute favourite pop-punk albums ever. I still enjoyed the Wedding after their lead vocalist changed, just not as much as that album though.

I’ll be interested to hear this release.

Ditto on the Polarity love; I probably have in the neighborhood of 3000 physical albums and I can say without a doubt that Polarity would be among my top 5 favorites. It’s a great sounding album that hits a sweet spot for me musically, and is also bold and Christ-centered lyrically.

I do recall Kevin having a short-lived project post-The Wedding that never really did anything (I seem to recall the name having something to do with Holy Ghost something-or-other???).
