Get a Little Healing and Release That Coronavirus Anxiety With Names Without Numbers

By in News | 4 Comments

It’s near impossible to turn on the TV, open your phones, or even go outside without hearing something about Coronavirus (Covid-19). There is a lot of anxiety, apprehension, fear, and fatigue taking place across the world. It’s so easy to say “all we need is Jesus” when people are looking for legitimate answers and a way of dealing with their fears. There is hope and there is comfort in the arms of our loving savior. Don’t think for a second that this is going to be the end of our country and mankind as a whole. This is just a slight deviation from the course that has been set and we will soon be back on the road again. Having worry is legitimate, there really is a virus that can cause harm for some and having that worry shouldn’t make you feel guilty or less human. We don’t need to panic however and beat each other up trying to get that last roll of toilet paper. Just remember that we are ALL in this together as one human race on our planet Earth. Let’s not destroy one another in pursuit of what some may call “survival”. This isn’t The Walking Dead, this isn’t 28 days later, and certainly not World War Z. This isn’t some video game or horror novel. This is just a virus like many others that have hit our world over the past couple thousand years or more. People die everyday and there is literally nothing you or I can do to stop that fate from taking place. What we can do is offer love and comfort to those most precious to us. To offer guidance to the young ones who are seeking answers, and to not jump to hysterics every time the news flashes “CORONAVIRUS” across the screen as a breaking news story. I have to be honest, I too have been consumed by fear and worry. I have watched the news non stop since January and read every piece of news I could on this growing problem. What did I find? Just more fear, worry, and pain. This news cycle escapism is destructive and helps no one. It’s great to be informed and I strongly encourage that kind of education but the conspiracy theories, false information, uneducated guesses, and homemade concoctions meant to “cure” you of the virus is truly nothing but idiocy. Let’s wrap our arms around our brothers and sisters at this very moment and love each other deeply. Let’s teach the word of God and share what it means to have agape love. Let’s build up trust, confidence, and great strength so that nothing could get in the way of our will to lead others to his kingdom. Things will get worse here soon, no doubt. You may even have your favorite pastor, church leader, musician, get sick and be sidelined for a short time. Don’t let that lead you to panic or fear. Let’s use this situation to stand strong and make a difference. Hold that light up high and let it shine for the world to see. They are all watching, what will you do with your time here? I titled this post the way I did because I was listening to “Firing Squad” by Names Without Numbers (please tell me you all heard that amazing album?) and was filled with some peace. The power of music is a beautiful thing and if you find that one song that is meaningful to you, grasp it tight and share with the world. Thanks everyone for reading this and please turn off the news for a few hours. “Lift your head and dry your eyes. You’ve been through this a thousand times. Keep taking your hits with some gracefulness and get up again, it never ends” . Check out this song in lyric video format, below.

Well stated, Brandon. “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.” -Proverbs 3:5
