ZAP Records has just released this new 3 song ep from eccentric noise-punk band called Dystopian Futures. It’s like some strange mix of Blenderhead “Muchacho Vivo” (album), Fugazi, The Locust, Sonic Youth, Frodus, Don’t Know, Showbread, Roadside Monument, and kazoo punk rock (seriously!). Through all the noise and advant-garde weirdness, there is this strange punk rock calling to my soul. I’m not usually a fan of the extremely indie noise punk stuff, not knocking it just stating that it doesn’t necessarily end up in playlists but I’m feeling the music here.
