We’re over 500 years past the Reformation and Reformation Day is traditionally celebrated on October 31st. With that in mind, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on this historic event and how it has altered the Church – and world – as well as look at some songs that tie into the themes of the five solas.

Well, it looks like the podcast is already on Apple and Google Podcasts, but the shows featuring music can only be played on Spotify due to licensing.

Casey, Im not sure y u wud feel da need 2 “celebrate” sumthin (Or how/ y brandog wud clear this) that is ofensiv 2 ova a bilion practicin Catholics? Any “denominational” discusion ive eva had wit brandog has been made clear 2 me that he wants this 2 remain a “Christian, but non- denominational” site. So out of respect 4 him, ive neva postd any kinda theological arguments against/ exposin protestantism. Hi Phil, did you even listen to the audio here? I certainly made a point to be sensitive to this while acknowledging again that this is something that was undeniably historic for the world. I unfortunately cannot be impartial here – I was raised in a nominal Catholic context where works were everything and frankly that was a crippling burden to me, one that even to this day haunts me with thoughts of if I’ve done enough, cared enough, shared my faith enough, lost enough for the sake of the Gospel to be counted as one of God’s own. I honestly haven’t had time to listen yet because the fires have impacted everything. I would say that yes I am non-denominational personally as is my whole family and extended family. It’s kinda our thing. I’m not going to knock other denominations and IVM will always be a safe refuge for any and all to discuss their faith or lack there of. I applaud Casey for actually doing something in regards to keeping the discussing on solid indie music from Christian artists rolling along. I wish I could do an episode myself but I lack the tools.
