Shane, why must you create such fresh, relevant, heart wrenching new music? This song literally grabs you by the throat and well, releases a flood of all the best emotions. In reality, this song does anything but “Choke” you but it does grip you with a collection of notes and music performed by a talented ensemble of well seasoned musicians. I have always loved Shane’s voice and work in music since the very first few “Demos” he sent me in his first band – Hands, all those years ago. This 2nd song off of the new album “Influence” is further proof that you should count a solid indie band out. They may not be as huge as Foo Fighters, Green Day, Fall Out Boy, Underoath, or heck even The Weeknd, Billie Eilish, and Cardi B but what they lack in sales numbers they more than make up in talent, passion, and perseverance. The band is easily going to release one of the best rock albums of 2020 so prepare yourselves. No, I haven’t heard it yet but my convictions tell me that what is to come will be nothing short of pure quality. Enjoy the song “Choke”, below. I was really taken by the brooding aggression and ambient elements, songs like “Red”, “Numbers”, “Come Down”, and “I Will” (Hands), really clicked for me, but neither of these new songs have hooked me yet. I’m missing the edge they had from that era
