    A Long Overdue Crimson Refuge Update

    About this time last year, I talked quite a bit about Rocky Mount, NC band Crimson Refuge. The songs on their myspace were rough, but showed a heck of a lot of potential. I just recently checked back up with them, and they have gotten a LOT better. Do them a favor and go check out the three new songs on their myspace. If you like what you hear, you can buy their new EP This Is It from Digstation, CDBaby (physical copy), or at a show. They’ve told me that the EP will also be available on iTunes soon. It’s only $5. What’ve you got to lose?

    Until June videos

    Until June has added a couple videos to their youtube page.  There is a promo which features new music from their upcoming album as well as a video showing the guys doing motion capture for their song on the new Guitar Hero World Tour Edition.

    Acoustic Anchors

    According to Tooth & Nail, Secret & Whisper will be posting the acoustic version of their song Anchors to their myspace page today.  This song can only be found on the Japanese import of their album Great White Whale. The band will also be posting a video update from their recent trip to Japan on YouTube very soon.

    New Guitarist for Plea

    A Plea For Purging has recruited new guitarist Tyler Wilson to replace Lyle Paschal who left the band a few months ago.

    Fires! Fires! Fires!

    Well it’s really unfortunate today in Southern California as hundreds of people are losing their homes in these horrid fires. One of the fires that has broken out in Corona/Yorba Linda is about a mile away from my business office. I’ll be watching this for sure. My heart goes out to all those that have lost their homes.

Effect Radio reaches across 9 states with a bunch of cities and apparently they’ve been played quite frequently across the network.
