Rumor Control: ACB break up? | Indie Vision Music

A fresh rumor says that As Cities Burn has recently broken up but plans to still release their new album which should be near completion or already completed. This might explain the lack of info, artwork, and overall prep for a new record. Nevertheless, we should still (hopefully) be seeing new material come forth. The source tells me that the break up may be because bassist Colin Kimble just recently got married. We’ll have to wait and see how this plays out and hear an offical word from the band.

well cody is living in cleveland, tn working at first street studios and colin got a full time job because his wife just had or is about to have a kid.. i’m not sure they ever planned to touring the new record anyways.

the entire record was only recorded and produced by cody and another bandmate anyways. So you’re really not even gonna hear the entire band on the cd. and i really would be still pay just as much just to watch cody tour and play by himself.

This does suck. The only time I saw them live was at Purple Door when I first realized how much I liked their new sound. Now that I actually know their songs, I would like to see them on tour. Very sad…

This has happened before, just saying.
But still, I’ve listened to them since Son, I Loved You at Your Darkest. I could have seen them twice, but I ended up not being able to. If that’s true, then I’ll mourn the loss of a fantastic band along with the rest of the fans. If it really is just a rumor, then we can laugh about it later.

Kind of reminds me of Dead Poetic. Lead singer gets married and loses the desire to sleep next to a bandmate instead of his beautiful wife, haha. I was definitely sad with DP’s breakup, but never was a fan of ACB.

the blog says that cody and tyler orr did the whole record and everyone else is pretty much moving on, also cody has been doing solo shows for almost a year now… that’s a pretty good indication of where they’re headed.

yes it is a rumor but a friend of mine in a band called Lauren Louvre said that very recently they requested to go on tour with them but they are calling it quits after the new album due to members being married and feeling it was going separate ways. a rumor? hopefully. i seriously do but all the signs are there. this was about four or so days ago the blog was over a month.

Haha Levi, I know. A few buddies and I were all rocking out to New Medicines in my car last night coming back from the Maylene show. I don’t know that there’s a band who have had such a short but brilliant career like them, showing great potential in where they were going. >_<

I know! Headless is more of a Four Wall Blackmail kinda guy, and though I like a lot of it, New Medicines is what grabbed me, and Vices just confirmed their talent and ability to make incredible music. Fo sho.

On DP: If you read the insert out of “The Finest”, you’ll notice Brandon Rike says they plan to release one more DP album. So that’s something that we can all watch/hope/pray/beg/wish for.

As of last year DP was planning on one more album i read somwhere that there contract required opne more album but alot happens in a year so who knows
