YYYYYEEEEAAAAAAHHHHH! Can’t wait to get my hands on the album. Haste The Day has always been and will be one of my favourite bands in their genre. Loved every album. And what I hear now. So good. Don’t care what anyone else says. :)

i agree, this album rocks! i dont care what anyone else says.

    3. (a different) Dan | October 9th, 2008 | 8:20 pm

I like 68 but the rest of the album isn’t anything amazing. Good stuff but not great and not as good as old Jimmy Ryan haste the day

    4. Colt | October 9th, 2008 | 8:32 pm

1…2…3…! It took three posts before Jimmy got mentioned (we’re doing better!).

I really like good ol’ haste the day, but this isnt bad… I’ll sure be streaming it for a couple days.

I just love how all the people who were whining about Trenches didn’t even get his album, hence its bombing. People…if you’re going to talk the talk, then walk the walk. *eyeroll*

Anyway, it’s the oppisite for me, Dan. I didn’t really care much for 68, but the rest of the album has entirely blown me away. I thought I wouldn’t like it, but this…this ish is incredible. Wow. Just..wow. Everybody go buy this.

No one knows who Trenches is, a lot of people know about Haste the Day.

I just have to shut my mind off to all the great Jimmy memories when I see HTD the next time.

    7. Stef | October 10th, 2008 | 5:38 am

Its childish to be critical of Trenches just cos’ you cant get over jimmy leaving HtD. Get over it. Move on. Trenches’ album is one the most originial albums to be released this year. I love HtD, but jimmy fits Trenches way better than anytìng he did in HtD.

    8. Dan | October 10th, 2008 | 8:23 am

This is their best work since Burning Bridges. I loved old HTD, but I really don’t like trenches at all. I wasn’t a big fan of post-jimmy HTD either with pressure the hinges, but i really really like this stuff. very impressed.

    9. LenIVM | October 10th, 2008 | 9:19 am

Stef, that’s the problem, Trenches doesn’t sound “that trendy”….. so for an unknown, that isn’t trendy, it’s a tough sell.

    10. KIRKadurka | October 10th, 2008 | 1:16 pm

i think Invoke Reform is my favorite song on the album right now… i cant wait for this cd to come out!

    11. Blair | October 11th, 2008 | 2:41 pm

YES!! I hope I can find it next week. Loved old HTD and love new HTD. Just need to redo Many Waters.

    12. jesstaylor | October 11th, 2008 | 11:41 pm

      oh my yes!
      Autumn is acoustic.
I was soooo scared they were going to try and make that song heavy…

I’m very happy with it though!
      Can’t wait til Tuesday!

Have to admit, i wasnt expecting too much with this release after i heard ‘haunting’, but it actually kicks sum serious ass :-)

    14. John | October 12th, 2008 | 2:55 pm

it’s ok so far. parts of it sound borrowed from underoath. i liked Pressure the hinges better, but maybe that’s just because i’m outgrowing metalcore
