i mean.. it’s great that they want to be more bold as a band considering most of the guys are already pretty bold. (i’m sure that being on scream the prayer with sleeping giant and impending doom would make any christian band do that) but the guy was a founding member and they knew from the start that he was not a believer while they were trying to be a christian band. i just feel sorry for the guy when he put 5-6 years of his life into it, i’m sure another band will pick him up. but yeah.. thats what i’m thinking at the moment
what about their shirts with kids getting curb stomped and peed on and their overall image as a band? that kind of thing doesnt just change when you decide to jump on the fad of being an overtly christian band…
A lot of ‘Christian’ bands seem to have pretty graphic shirts. I guess it’s good they are trying to start a change if that is, in fact, what they will be doing. Prayer is definitely a good thing for them.
They shouldn’t of let Kyle in the band in the first place if they were just gonna kick him out later, i mean really, what were they thinking? Now they finally deiced to be a serious christian band and before they were just fooling around- Doesn’t sound too wise to me. I wonder how he felt to be in that band when he himself wasn’t even a believer. Maybe he knew this was going to happen. Anyway im sure they were kind about kicking him out.
I doubt anyone adds a member with the plans to kick him out years later. Things changed. How we feel about it is irrelevant.
The t-shirt thing is interesting though. I’ve noticed other bands making shirts that I don’t think are a good idea either. That is something we, as fans, could affect by 1) not purchasing them and 2) asking the bands why they would print them.
