The track “A Cause a Plan an Execution” appeared on our compilation “Summer Slam Vol. 1″ back in 2006. It was an exclusive new song recorded just for the compilation. I heard there were a couple of people that never got this song from us so I’ve decided to offer it here as an individual download. Download and enjoy. Check out Dogwood on myspace here.

Get into HANDS quickly… before everyone else does.

Posted by LenIVM On September - 27 - 2008

Hey everyone!
I saw HANDS the other night and they are getting better and better each time I see them.

They just got done with the recording of their release entitled The Sounds of Earth due out early 2009 and I have to say, from what I heard IT IS AMAZING, seriously, I can’t even explain it, even if I was able to tell you, I couldn’t. It’ll be a release that is already one of my most anticipated releases for 2009 and I am sure that it will be in my top 10 by the end of next year…. and 2008 isn’t even over yet! Check out the band on tour if you have the chance to.

This band is going places… if not, it will surely be a shame.

Make sure you grab their independent EP The Everlasting by messaging them for a hard copy or on iTunes.
There is also a song available entitled “Speak to Me” available on IVM’s very own Hearts Bleed Passion 4

Looking for good poppunk? Look no further than Secondhand.

Posted by Brandon On September - 27 - 2008

Thanks to a Luke for sending me his friend’s band cd, SECONDHAND. They are a pop punk band from Michigan. Similar to Blink 182, Green Day, Side Walk Slam, Ace Troubleshooter, and Capital Lights. Check the band out and pick up a cd direct from them.

Their ep is actually quite good. Very melodic and full of catchy choruses and harmonies rich in texture. Full of poppy little numbers that’ll get your head bobbing along and your fists pumping in the air. There aren’t a ton of good pop punk acts still around and if you hungry for that sound, look no further than SECONDHAND.

Featured Bands For the Win!

Posted by Brandon On September - 26 - 2008

I have two new featured bands this week. However, I need to make a note and say that Brave Saint Saturn are far far far from being an “Under the Radar” band. They have been around longer than Anberlin but I only have TWO Spots for featured bands and “Under the Radar” is one of them. So I just stuck Brave Saint Saturn in the Under the Radar box, I hope no one is offended. Check out both bands. Anberlin has a new album “New Surrender” that is releasing on Tuesday and Brave Saint Saturn just released their new album “New Meridian” last week.

Fireproof Movie Starts Tomorrow

Posted by Brandon On September - 25 - 2008

Fireproof, the faith based movie that stars Kirk Cameron, opens tomorrow on a large number of screens nationwide. From what I’ve read, advance ticket sales are way up. Of course this movie is meant for an older demographic (those of us married) so a lot of you probably don’t care. I thought I’d mention it anyway. Hopefully it’s quality entertainment. It’s not everyday that a Christian themed movie opens on that many screens.
