  3. nodes Said,

the picture quality is nowhere near the terrible quality of blessed by a broken heart’s music.

  5. Colt Said,

wow, i don’t think they are that bad…

What have you got against glam metal, nodes?

  6. nodes Said,

    glam metal
    soft rock
    deafening silence
    forward retreat

need i go on? they’re horrible. i had the 1st CD back before i knew anything and it sucked then. metal is about pushing forward, not wallowing in nostalgia to make a quick buck off of the 80’s being deemed tolerable again. EFFFFF this band.

  8. nodes Said,

man. don’t give me that. if a band is awesome, i’ll go on about it just as fervantly as i will about a terrible one. i don’t think it’s healthy to censor out ‘negative’ reactions to negative situations. i’m not trying to get people to vote for me or agree with me on anything, so why try to please people? i’m not going out of my way to piss people off. i’m not questioning their fan’s character or values, but poorly written trendy music is what it is.

fans of that music know that deep down they won’t be listening to it in 5 or 10 years, just as fans of other trends mostly dissipate in a matter of time. they hop on another trend and pretend they’ve been into that forever. if you want to support it by half-heartedly listening and thinking it’s funny to like it for ironic reasons, go ahead. i’ll be fully enjoying really lame, boring actual metal and other music written without ironic consideration by people who actually care about the history of the genre and aren’t just using to to gain popularity.

  9. nodes Said,

since i can’t edit it, the last sentence in the 1st paragraph should be as follows: (edited selection capitalized)

i’m not going out of my way to piss people off. i’m not questioning their fan’s character or values, but MERELY CALLING poorly written trendy music is what it is.

  10. Admiral Tobias Said,

    I feel like I set that off…and they found a higher-rez UO picture anyway…

  11. Brandon Said,

You’re picky Admiral aren’t you? ha. My photoshop program kept saving the full size pic as a low rez file. I fixed it last night and reloaded it to the site. Thanks for noticing though, it’s good that some people are paying such close attention to this site ;)

  12. Brandon Said,

Only two bands that I knew of had albums coming out this Tuesday. Underoath is a band I support and the other spot went to BBABH because they well, had a new album out. Well at least the controversy has generated a lot of comments, that’s a good thing to have discussion. Personally, I don’t think any of these throwback 80’s nostaglic acts can match the power and feel of the real bands that actually pioneered the sound. Buckcherry tries and fails, Bullet for my Valentine tries and fails, and all those other hair metal loving scene bands seem to be one big epic fail as well. No band is ever going to match the awesomeness of Def Leppard’s “Hysteria”, Bon Jovi’s “Slippery When Wet”, or Guns n Roses “Appetite for Destruction”. The ones trying to ape Motley Crue’s sound are just failing at it. Personally, I’d rather pull out my classics than listen to some of the glam metal wannabees of today’s music scene.

  13. Brandon Said,

Oh and maybe we should vote on which unsigned/indie artist to feature next in the “Under the Radar” section. I need some suggestions so just drop the band’s name and myspace link under my comment.

    Quote: “EFFFFF this band.”

For “merely calling poorly written trendy music what it is,” I would say that’s pretty hostile.

  15. Admiral Tobias Said,

Speaking of hostile, whatever happened to lolzlandmang John?

  17. nodes Said,

hey. not in a mood or anything. i just have never been able to stand this band or any other band that really wants to SHRED!!! and then completely disregards anything actually having to do with metal. say you’re a rock band. i will stay out of it and not even comment. it just has NOTHING to do with metal.
