I hope they get it back! This seems to happen so often to bands… is this something that has become more common in the last year or two or has this been happening for many years this frequently for bands?
Also peoples comments for that car/trailer pic are sad

I think thieves are targeting bands specifically because they know how easy it is to steal their gear. Plus, they know the amount of merchandise and gear in the trailer and how much it’s all worth. I feel really sorry for these bands because it’s costly enough just being in a traveling music group and then to have to worry about your stuff getting stolen, that’s even worse. Should more bands invest in wheel locks? Do they work?

I was thinking more like guards at the trailers, that would cost though

Yeup. They also know tht Indie christian bands are very easy. You guys, this isn’t just all a coincidence. They’re targeting christian bands.

I play guitar for the band, it really just sucks. We lost everything, obviously but the worst part is is that we have no way to pay for any type of replacement gear let alone another van and trailer. We lost about 250 of our albums that we had to pay for from EMI and not to mention all of our merchandise, hand made lights and banners, personal things.
I know this stuff happens but as it is we are struggling so hard to get tours, album sales are horrible and we finally worked on a new tour to find our van and trailer gone with everything.
Whoever did it will probably be throwing all our cds and merchandise away and don’t even know they could have just ended our career.
It’s a very sad world and not just for us but for everyone that hurts in anyway. We are all very poor, some of us don’t have homes and now we have no means to travel and play music and most importantly ministry.
I know the Lord opens doors when others close, but it’s just sad everything we’ve worked for for the last 3+ years is gone in a night.

I like this band. I hope they can get their gear back at least. Getting acquainted to new equipment would be the hardest part, after you know, the financial impossibilities of replacing all that stuff. Do labels assist at all when this kind of trash happens?

Subject: VAN & TRAILER FOUND, LORD IS GOOD!
Body: We received a call today that our van and trailer were found not too far away from where it was stolen in some random neighborhood.
It was called on suspicion and found to be ours!
We don’t know what is there and what is missing but it was reported that the back of the trailer had not been opened meaning most of our gear hopefully is safe as we have a big wall blocking all our equipment from exiting the side door.
We suspect maybe a few guitars, drums, and or lights may be gone along with some benches, and cd player from our van but hopefully just minor things.
The big picture is that the Lord is good and our van and trailer are safe with most our belongings in it and we are very thankful for that.
Thank you very much for your prayer and kind words and it is true that prayer does work.
Thank you all again and God bless!
The Very Excited SYT!

Yeah! Praise the Lord! I wish we heard more news like this from bands who have their stuff stolen!

Left from Jay at Buzzgrinder:
“Their ENTIRE van and trailer? This is almost nearly impossible if they took some easy precautions. Even Lambgoat posters are smart enough to know they should’ve just thrown a Club on the steering wheel. Problem 99.9% solved.
Stupid band.”
I’m going to have to agree with this. It’s one thing to have some stuff stolen, but your ENTIRE van and trailer? C’mon, guys. This is getting pathetic.
And yeah, I’ve noticed it, too, Manuel. I’m surprised no one else really has.

I’m not trying to be a jerk. But I agree with anyone who says bands should invest in anti-theft precautions. I mean, if you’re going to be traveling with THAT much stuff, you need to take some responsibility.

Thanks for the post from the Sever Your Ties member. Glad you guys found your van at least and I hope you can get back on your feet. I love your debut record. I’d understand if you quit b/c that’s a very frustrating thing to have happen to you. I hope you keep on keepin’ on though!

This is one good news, as well as one great testimony to His faithfulness. Glad they found what they lost!
