Skillet has posted up a video explaining to fans why they don’t always sign autographs after shows and trying to explain a situation that happened recently at their show in Tulsa where Police told fans that Skillet wouldn’t come out until they left.

kinda reminds me of the story in Andrew Schwabs book about the dad that brought his son to the show and scolded the band about the lyrics or something on the Truthless Heroes album. Then said he could no longer support the band. Sometimes, we Christians can be too quick to judge and point fingers when it is ourselves we should be examining.

It’s actually really cool that Coop took the time to do this. Tulsa is a fun town, but it’s also kinda rough. I went to many shows there while in college and our car was broken into, my gf’s purse was stolen, etc etc. The fact that they took the time to respond after getting only a couple messages is quite cool.
I’m not a huge fan of “upset father” either. I fully understand where he was coming from, but I guess I’ll never understand ripping into a band like that claiming they’re not Christ-like with such an unchristian response.
