Impending Doom Bring the Metal In Video Form

Impending Doom present to you their brand new video for the song “My Nemesis” and it’s being shown over at MTV’s website, but we have decided to post it below for your viewing pleasure (and because some of you are too lazy to click over to the MTV site). Check out the br00tality below.

I like how it says My Neurosis xD Fail, MTV, fail!

    2. JoshIVM | July 31st, 2008 | 12:44 pm

This video will debut on Headbanger’s Ball this Saturday as well. I hope it does well for them.

    3. matt | July 31st, 2008 | 12:55 pm

      good video, great band

its funny seeing brook do vocals with no mic tho. especially the pig/inhale parts. haha

      nevertheless, well done

    4. bloodwater | July 31st, 2008 | 1:00 pm

that’s the thing I hate most about MTV is how none of the video’s are viewable outside the US.

    5. Phil Recognition | July 31st, 2008 | 1:21 pm

i hope that they scare the hell out of the mtv crowd!

    6. LenIVM | July 31st, 2008 | 2:24 pm

LOL. Yeah. You made two jokes there phil.

    7. One Crushing Blow | July 31st, 2008 | 2:47 pm

I’m really glad to see they’re on MTV. Some people call it sellouts. But in this case, I think it’s nothing but positive exposure. So many people are going to find them who might not have known about them before. And hopefully be enlightened about Christ’s love in the process. So I don’t see how that’s a bad thing, by any means.

    8. LenIVM | July 31st, 2008 | 2:53 pm

CRUSHING! FORUMS! NOW! Lol. welcome back.

    9. LenIVM | July 31st, 2008 | 2:54 pm

I love Impending Doom, I have a lot of respect for them.

    10. Phil Recognition | July 31st, 2008 | 3:00 pm

i agree crushing. to sell out you would have to.. coughcoughsellsuitcasesfullofjunkcoughcough

    11. sam30 | July 31st, 2008 | 4:20 pm

      ooooooooh!
      them’s fighting words…

      not a bad video.

    12. Colt | July 31st, 2008 | 5:56 pm

“i agree crushing. to sell out you would have to.. coughcoughsellsuitcasesfullofjunkcoughcough”

If you call a hoodie, a shirt, a poster, a deluxe edition album, and a hand painted suitcase “junk,” I want to know what you call modern art.

    13. Phil Recognition | July 31st, 2008 | 6:44 pm

i don’t mean junk as in junk but as in stuff

    14. HayngMan3000# | July 31st, 2008 | 6:56 pm

    16. jake | July 31st, 2008 | 8:14 pm

One of the few Hardcore bands I have absolutely no idea what they are saying…the only part I got was “I hope I scare the hell out of you…” haham their first t-shirt was that on the back…

I liked the video, no random kid running around like every other video.

    17. One Crushing Blow | July 31st, 2008 | 8:26 pm

I don’t know, I just think it’s hilarious when people tell me that having merch in Hot Topic or whatever is selling out. Especially when they LOVED that band the year before, but now that they’re in the spotlight, they can’t be happy for them. It’s called “let’s make money to support ourselves in doing what we love because cd sales really don’t help as much as people think they do.” So it’s the same thing about videos on MTV. Congrats for the publicity! Just don’t abuse it.

    18. One Crushing Blow | July 31st, 2008 | 8:26 pm

And glad to be back…well, kind of. I don’t feel like getting on the forums as of yet, but maybe I’ll get to that point soon.

    19. Brandon | July 31st, 2008 | 8:36 pm

Well it’s certainly good to have you commenting on the site David. Thanks for sticking around :)

    20. sam30 | July 31st, 2008 | 9:56 pm

      yeah, dave, keep sticking round.
it’s always a bit of a surprise when you turn up. a pleasant surprise.

    21. LenIVM | July 31st, 2008 | 11:19 pm

Yeah, i popped up on Buzzgrinder, and he said hi, so I was like, “bro! come back to IVM!” and he did.

Yeah, this video is starting to really grow on me.

    22. TylerM | August 1st, 2008 | 6:49 am

I wonder if Christians like Impending Doom just because they can say to others, “This is Christian music!”, I do not care. YOU CANNOT understand that unless you look up the lyrics. Not saying it’s bad, just I don’t think anyone could understand it without looking up lyrics.

    23. One Crushing Blow | August 1st, 2008 | 9:19 am

It depends. Some of their songs I can. But I agree, it IS hard to understand. But when you listen to them and another band, like Whitechapel, you can definitely tell which one is good for you and which one isn’t. Ugh. I wish Whitechapel WAS Christian, though. They’re so good.

    24. Manuel | August 1st, 2008 | 10:49 am

Wow, I missed out on this party. Welcome back, Crushing. This site got boring for a hot second, there. But now it’s exciting again because of the influx of good news that’s been flooding in from the bayous.

    25. bobbythebuff | August 1st, 2008 | 1:23 pm

David!! good to see you back man.
I agree with you about whitechapel, i really wish they were christian. They are indeed really good.

i really liked the video and the fact that its on mtv. This is the only video i know of that is on mtv from a band off of facedown. This could be good for them.

And imagine this: Unsaved person digs I.D., looks up the record label, finds other bands on facedown they might like, they hopefully get more exposure to Christ and eventually could wind up saved. I think this is awesome.

    26. Brandon | August 1st, 2008 | 1:31 pm

It’s great exposure for Facedown Records, they need more listeners for sure.

    27. One Crushing Blow | August 1st, 2008 | 8:23 pm

Who is Impending’s drummer, by the way?

    28. bobbythebuff | August 2nd, 2008 | 8:30 am

They havent really released his name at all. They put a blog update on their myspace saying that they will announce who the new guy is after some tour, but they still havent done so yet.

The dude in the video is the same one that was on STP.

    29. Travis Aker | August 2nd, 2008 | 9:51 pm

I want to see a Sleeping Giant video on Headbanger’s Ball sometimes and really open some people’s eye to Jesus. They where the best on the Scream The Prayer tour and them and XdeathstarX which took the place of With Blood Comes Cleansing when they didn’t play in Dayton was pure brutality at it finest. I like Impending Doom a lot but I only stand so much death metal you know what I am saying people.

    30. Trenton | August 3rd, 2008 | 7:44 am

Impending Doom is not death metal. they are a deathcore/grind band. They were alright at Scream the Prayer, but There is only so much bree vocals that one can take. Brook should stick to real death vocals next time.

    31. VicerExciser | August 29th, 2008 | 3:50 am

      Dang……
A lot of these people that commented this don’t know crap about heavy music. Trenton, bree vocals?
      hahaha omg
This is why people get mad when underground band gets exposed.

    32. VicerExciser | August 29th, 2008 | 3:53 am

I bet most of you didn’t know this is their second video.
